We did well but I think we can do better. Actually my thinking is if we play spicy, our spinners will do just as good if not better but our all rounders come into play (and we have to play them regardless since the all rounders are our only other spinning options). We will also be boosting them so actually we will have 3 top class spinners/wicket takers on a spicy pitch, as well as better batting depth than the other team since we are playing two boosted all rounders (which is equivalent to 8 batsmen, 4 of whom are diamond class)

Let’s try both normal and spicy and see which works better?

I was thinking of converting one fast bowler to a batsman as this will give us less variety but the option of a 7-man batting attack (it seems there is no benefit to playing 4 bowlers vs 5 bowlers in terms of variety, so I’m thinking we should switch @Invincible Gujjar to a batsman and play 7 pure batsmen, 2 all rounders (spinners), 1 pure spinner diamond (you) and 1 fast bowler (me). It seems like this would be the optimal use of resources. This way Gujjar bhai will also be able to play more matches.

On fast bowling friendly pitches we will swap the AR spinners with AR fast bowlers. For shorter formats, we will still have the option for 5 bowlers as we have Wasim Akram and QalandarFan.

Is this okay? To summarize:

Regarding matches — I want to try two ODI with our bowlers at the Cage. First one will be spin heavy 3/2 attack, on a spicy pitch. Second one will be spin heavy 3/2 attack on a flat pitch.

For the third game request, we can do the First Class game 3/2 on a spicy pitch against the Cerebral Assassins like you agreed with @Moh@n on the other thread.

Agreed, but keep in mind they were playing an all pace attack so victory was expected. What are your thoughts about batting positions and boosts? I’m thinking top load, but not sure about boosts.

Having followed the matches I agree with the batting position being top load.

Batsmen are doing well...

Also agree with the double boost AR as that could be the difference between us and another team.

boost AR + boost AR + boost batsmen is also a good shout but I think that is more efficient for Test matches instead of LO...

So let’s see what happens during the LO games and once we know what suits us the best - we will choose once again...

However double boost AR is our priority and hopefully it will turn out good.

This will explain the drastic difference as we are the same bowler in all other respects. There should be no harm if we replace QalandarFan with Wasim Akram in the actual match (as we don’t know what his actual stats are but surely they must be at least equal if not better). (There was also high bounce, which may or may not be relevant)

Let’s keep an eye out for grounds where there is a difference between Seam attributes and Swing attributes.

Good analysis I was looking at the scorecard and I was wondering why QalandarFan went for a plenty of runs.

Spinners did a okay job too.
