I see your point, but still think it is tough asking top order batsmen to consistently be the 5th bowler every game, it leaves very little tactical leeway for the captain in case any bowler is having a bad day or they need to try something else.

England are not short of world class batting options, and sacrificing a bowling option to shoehorn Billings in because he's in good form is not sensible.
