Is Donald Trump right in calling the US 2020 Election a fraud?
Donald Trump has accused his opponents of "fraud on the American public" and claimed victory in the US election before all results have been announced.
Ten states are yet to declare and the result remains on a knife edge.
Crucial swing states Joe Biden hoped to flip like Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina and Wisconsin went down to the wire, remaining too close to call.
And others he wanted to turn blue - Michigan and Pennsylvania - face severe reporting delays.
Biden's campaign said they expected to win Wisconsin, Nevada, Michigan and Pennsylvania, out of those states where a result has still yet to be found.
Speaking from the White House, the president vowed to take his fight to the Supreme Court because he wants "the law to be used in a proper manner".
"We will win this and as far as I'm concerned we already have won it," he added.
US election 2020 live: Follow the latest updates
Mr Trump said that all voting should stop and he does not want polling officials "to find any ballots at 4 o'clock in the morning and add them to the list" - without citing evidence of that happening.
Joe Biden's campaign branded the president's remarks as "outrageous, unprecedented, and incorrect".
The Democratic challenger accused Mr Trump of a "naked effort to take away the democratic rights of American citizens".
In a statement, the Biden campaign said: "Never before in our history has a president of the United States sought to strip Americans of their voice in a national election.
"Having encouraged Republican efforts in multiple states to prevent the legal counting of these ballots before election day, now Donald Trump is saying these ballots can't be counted after election day either."
The Biden campaign added they had legal teams "standing by" to resist any effort by Mr Trump to take court action over the counting of votes.
With the race for the White House continuing to tighten on Wednesday in those states where a result was still yet to be found, the president later tweeted: "Last night I was leading, often solidly, in many key States, in almost all instances Democrat run & controlled.
"Then, one by one, they started to magically disappear as surprise ballot dumps were counted. VERY STRANGE, and the 'pollsters' got it completely & historically wrong!"
Twitter acted swiftly to censor Mr Trump's tweet, accomapanying the president's post with the message: "Some or all of the content shared in this Tweet is disputed and might be misleading about an election or other civic process."
"How come every time they count Mail-In ballot dumps they are so devastating in their percentage and power of destruction?," Mr Trump had also added.
Earlier, at a drive-in rally in Delaware he likely hoped would have been the site of a victory speech, Mr Biden had urged supporters to "keep the faith" and wait for the final results amid a tight showdown in battleground states.
"It may take a little longer," he said.
"We're gonna have to be patient, until the hard work of tallying votes is finished... It ain't over 'til every ballot is counted."
Ballots continue to be counted in the battleground state of Pennsylvania
Although it was still too early to draw conclusions, Mr Trump was leading in Michigan with four-fifths of votes counted.
It means an intense showdown continues between the two candidates, with Mr Trump fighting to avoid becoming the first one-term president in decades.
Earlier, he tweeted in response to Mr Biden's speech: "We are up BIG, but they are trying to STEAL the Election.
"We will never let them do it. Votes cannot be cast after the Poles [sic] are closed!"
He appeared to be referring to a decision by the Supreme Court to allow mail-in ballots in Pennsylvania to be counted up to three days after the election.
Twitter also censored this Trump post, labelling it with the same warning that "some or all of the content shared in this tweet is disputed and might be misleading about an election or other civic process".
The president vowed to take his fight to the Supreme Court
In a boost for Mr Biden, he was leading in the race for Arizona - a state that Mr Trump won in 2016.
A Biden win would represent a significant coup, since the last Democrat victory there was in 1996.
His campaign told NBC the competition nationally remains a "slog", as the margin between him and Mr Trump is very close.
Sky News/NBC projections show Mr Trump is on course to hold on to Ohio, Florida, Iowa and Texas.
They will come as a serious blow to Mr Biden, who set his sights high on "ruby red" targets but has failed to pull off the convincing, early win he will have hoped for.
Republicans look set to hold on to Florida - a key electoral college prize
But the Democrats are projected to retain control of the House of Representatives.
Among the flurry of questions about what will happen as crucial results hang in the balance, Pennsylvania's attorney general Josh Shapiro appealed to everyone to "get some sleep".
He tweeted: "As we have said for months: This election will be over when all the eligible votes are counted. Stay calm."
UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said the government would "need to be patient and wait and see who wins" the US election.
He added on Twitter: "Important the process is given sufficient time to reach a conclusion.
"We have full confidence in the checks and balances of the US system to produce a result.
"The UK-US relationship is in great shape and we are confident it will go from strength to strength whichever candidate wins the election.
"Across trade, security, intelligence, defence, innovation and culture, no two countries do more together."

Twitter has hidden Donald Trump's first tweet of the day after the US election, in which the President wrote his vote advantage in key Democrat-run states had "started to magically disappear".
It earlier took similar action over a post in which Trump said his opponents "are trying to steal the election".
Both messages are now hidden behind warnings that say the claims are disputed and might be misleading.
The moves also limit users' ability to like and reply to the posts.
Facebook has added fact-check boxes to the same two messages on Mr Trump's profile on its platform, clarifying that final results might take longer than normal - but did not restrict engagement.
'Censor and silence'
The most recent of the two tweets said: "Last night I was leading, often solidly, in many key states, in almost all instances Democrat run and controlled.
"Then, one by one, they started to magically disappear as surprise ballot dumps were counted. VERY STRANGE."
Twitter took just over half an hour to react.
Mr Biden's first tweet of the day said "we won't rest until everyone's vote is counted".
Twitter has not acted on any of Mr Biden's tweets.
But it has hidden a post by the chair of Wisconsin's Democratic Party Ben Wikler who posted that "Joe Biden just won Wisconsin".
On Tuesday, the Trump campaign claimed that "Silicon Valley continues its campaign to censor and silence the president".
LIVE: US Election results
Social media's US election nightmare
Timeline alerts
Facebook has also been automatically adding labels to all recent posts on Trump and Joe Biden's accounts.
They inform readers that votes are still being counted and that the winner of the US presidential election has not been projected.
Facebook has begun placing notifications at the top of the timelines for all US users, explaining that the election had not yet been decided.
"Once President Trump began making premature claims of victory, we started running notifications on Facebook and Instagram that votes are still being counted and a winner is not projected," it said.
Twitter said it had labelled Mr Trump's tweet about the election being "stolen" because it violated the firm's civic integrity policy.
But the network appears to be allowing some claims of victory, despite warning that it would not.
An earlier tweet from Mr Trump that he had enjoyed "a big win!" has been left untouched, as has a carefully-worded tweet from Mr Biden that said "we believe we are on track to win this election".
It's been a busy 24 hours on social media. There's been numerous unsubstantiated or false claims about election fraud, voter intimidation and conspiracy theories about attempts to steal the election doing the rounds.
And we are likely to see more misinformation like this in the days to come.
The delay in announcing the final result means a lot for time for misleading claims to flourish online.
Conspiratorial claims about rigged elections can spread like wildfire, in particular if they are amplified by politicians and online influencers.
Premature claims of victory - like the one President Trump made while votes are being counted - can further fuel misinformation and potentially impact how people perceive the final result.
This is exactly what some experts have been concerned about: that viral misinformation about voter fraud and "rigged" elections might have the potential to undermine people's trust in democratic process for years to come.
Presentational grey line
The clampdown comes after months of preparation for a disputed election.
The social media firms have overhauled their policies to deal with false claims of victory and other misinformation about the vote.
Both Twitter and Facebook said they had suspended a range of recently created accounts.
Twitter said the accounts it targeted had violated its spam and manipulation policies - particularly those that seek to artificially influence online conversations.
YouTube also shut down live-streamed fake election results which were being broadcast via several accounts on its platform.
The Election Integrity Partnership said that one of them had come up as a top search result within YouTube when users searched election information in key swing states.
The research group estimated that more than 26,0000 people had viewed the fake results.
YouTube said it that "after careful review" it was removing livestreams that broke its rules.
In a separate incident of apparent election interference, the FBI has said it is investigating a series of robocalls.
According to the Washington Post, an estimated 10 million automated calls were made over recent days telling people to "stay safe and stay home".
They did not specifically mention voting, and their origin remains unknown.

There is definitely something fishy going on
-
4th November 2020, 23:34 #7
Trump knows fully well that most democratic voters used the mail in ballots because unlike trump voters, we were conscious of COVID-19. These last few votes that are being counted are mail in ballots and are overwhelmingly democratic.
Even Chris Wallace from Fox News had predicted this before Election Day. Early votes would be advantage Dems. Election Day voting would be advantage republicans. And then mail in and absentees will be advantage dem. So we are in the third stretch and it’s understandably a blue wave.
Trump knows this fully well but he is trying to create chaos and anarchy and put the whole election in doubt. That’s what dictators and sycophants do!

How is it possible that in Michigan when they added postal ballots Biden's votes increased by 200,000 but Trump's did not increase AT ALL.
How is it possible that not one person who mailed in their vote voted for Trump in Michigan?

Why do people think it's fishy? Outfits like CNN and even FOX are breaking down county by county, what to expect from in-person and mail voting, based on past data. And the results are playing out accordingly.
Democrats vote overwhelmingly by mail, sometimes as much as 80-20. If you combine that ratio for a county that votes overwhelmingly democrat, it's no surprise that Biden is getting big jumps. Large counties take longer to count, and that usually is where the democratic base sits (eg. Detroit in Wayne county, MI).

Trump is gonna TRY to cause trouble here
-
5th November 2020, 00:06 #14
Of course Trump is wrong.
Really has everyone missed what the Reps tried but failed to do before the election?
I.e not allowing postal ballots to be counted prior to the Election Day even though it was allowed in states like Florida?
Furthermore, everyone knows the Democrats voted early and in numbers by postal ballots so really Trump was a fool for announcing victory when he had lead with only 60pct of the votes counted...
-
5th November 2020, 00:06 #15
no dude no. This is what he wants you to believe. Look in 2016, he won by Hilary got 3 MILLION more votes. And after trump's several screwups, its understandable that Biden who is less controversial than Hillary would do better. The pollsters were predicting a much bigger landslide. You have to understand this is all how it was predicted. late votes were going to be overwhElmingly democratic because they voted using mail in because of covid-19.
Even a monkey (as long as he is american) can see the pattern shaping up here. Dont listen to the white noise created by Trump. This is how he thrives. He is like a third world dictator. Spread innuendo and uncertainty and makes it seem like the whole world is against him. He killed his chances with his covid 19 handling. This is no surprise at all.

Many elections feature a certain amount of fraud. It is however usually a tiny percentage with several decimal places to it.
Therefore even if there has been some fraud in this one, the two points I would make are: that it seems just as likely to be fraud in Trump’s favour as it does in Biden’s, and, moreover there is a clear difference in the popular vote (~2%) which in US terms adds up to millions of votes — so there would be no discernible impact on the final result.
-
5th November 2020, 00:08 #17
I guess I have to keep yelling this. I am not sure what the actual numbers are but most democratic people listedn to dr fauci. They did not take the chance of going out there to vote for fear of catching the virus. they used mail in ballots. Whereas trump spread this disinformation campaign about mailin ballots and encourages his people to go vote in person.
So this trend is very very understandable. the late mailin and absentee ballots were going to be heavily in favor of Dems.

Usually the Dems outnumber Republicans in the popular vote count by around 2.5-3 million and thats where its headed right now. The numbers are fairly consistent.

I watched the final debate, the woman moderator was clearly biased. The media coverage from CNN, ABC and even some from Fox has been anti Trump.
Im not Trump fan, just calling it as how I see it. I have no fish to fry in this race, dont care who wins but its sad to see this is going to cause violance whoever is elected.

you know why that is the case? because he openly bashes them for reporting the truth. He lives in his own world. he think tabloid style journalism of foxnews is real news. I watched the debates and I know the moderators would butt in when he started talking about his own lies and disinformation.
The establishment and the educated people here are very very wary of his threats. You cant have a leader like that who isolates the country at the world stage, and makes a mockery of the whole nation. so i wouldnt be surprised if they are all aligned against him.

Trump is master of spin and is by and large a fraud himself so if you see some from Fox News coming out against him then you know there is something very wrong about Trump.
I believe he carried out more drone attacks in twelve months then Obama did over two terms? Is this true?
He also repealed Obama's rule where death accounts of each drone attack would have to be made public...

at this point they are not even conservatives. they spread radical far right theories and agenda.
i mean look at the whole deal with QANON. there is a widespread belief that UK and US officials have been involved in pedophilia and its spread. Its been debunked so many times but a lot of people believe that. whats next? they will start spreading the flat earther agenda? they already think there is no such thing as climate change? and all the immigrants are part of a globalization strategy sent to take over white lands? whats next? the earth is flat? moon landing was a hoax? they want to microchip us? covid 19 is a man made epidemic spread by the cult globalists? 5g is killing birds and windmills cause cancer?

Turns out I was mistaken. It was actually a case of a data entry error from the vote count. The images you've seen are actually showing 140k votes being removed from Biden although what I assume were Trump supporters seemingly flipped these images into reverse chronological order to portray this as votes being added to Biden. This was done because an extra zero was added to the Biden vote count for Shiawassee county that was later corrected.

They might be right morally to do so but its wrong at election time.
Democracy is when both candidates are given a FAIR run at the white house.
The issue is Trump fans arent stupid, they know this and any close election, re count , court battle will only increase divide which will lead to mass violence.

It’s hard to take Trump seriously because there is no consistency in what he is saying. His view changes based on how he is doing.

Trump took over at a different time, towards the twilight years of the "war on terror". Drone strikes were already going down gradually in Obama's last couple years and troop withdrawal from Afghanistan was being discussed as far back as 2013-14. Trump did drop the MOAB on Afghanistan https://www.cnn.com/2017/04/13/polit...omb/index.html
He took out Soleimani almost triggering a war with Iran and supported Israeli settlements in west bank that Obama was against and even moved the us embassy of israel to Jerusalem.
-
5th November 2020, 01:12 #38
Killing of Solemani was a terrorist attack, no person alive can argue otherwise.
I dont think Trump was behind more drone attacks but the opposite.
Democrats are not liberals, they just hide their crimes better. Obomba not only increased drone attacks in Pakistan but his attacks were different too. Second strike became more regular. This is when villagers go to see whats happened, the drone drops another bomb killing them all inc women and children. Obomba also changed the policy, the President no longer needed to authorise each strike, he told his trigger happy pilots sitting in Arizona eat Maccies to fire away at will. The man was a sick terrorist.

His or his families personal life isnt important to me.
JFK had to deal with a Soviet Union who was very aggressive, US at that time was far better for the world than the Soviets. Russia today is a very different.
Im not defending all his policies but the man made a speech which no President dare to to this day or in the the future. JFK quickly realised who really controls America which eventually got him killed.

-Brought accountability among Indian IT companies
- Brought accountability in illegal immigration toughened border control
- Reduced deficit with China
- Salaries increase atleast in IT (happened due to his policies)
- Spending increased on many scientific disciplines, wanted to increase spending on Ai, QIS as well for 2021
- Pulled out troops
- Didnt take Sides against Oil just to promote renewables, gave push to both..

No, Biden did not receive thousands of mysteriously surfaced votes in Michigan
https://www.politifact.com/factcheck...steriously-su/
This whole controversy of Biden getting mysterious votes was based on a typo.

Yes but Fox consists predominantly of right wing commentators - Sean Hannity, Lou Dobbs, Laura Ingraham, Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade are not liberals last time I checked.
Right wingers dominate online news. Go look at YouTube, Facebook and Twitter and the filth that gets posted. They are a GOP smear factory.
Listen if Trump wanted better relations with the media - maybe don't encourage supporters to assault journalists or describe them as "the enemy of the people" ?
Anyway carry on with your excuses.

Spot on. Agree with every word with you.
There's a few things to look at:
-This man is responsible for horrid crimes by separating kids (many were later abused) from parents under ICE
-spreading bigotry throughout the world as the leader of the most powerful nation, I mean we still see effects of it in UK
-has destroyed any chance of peace in the Palestinian conflict
I won't even touch him supporting far-right.
Now, he has been good for Pakistan. But is that reason enough to like him? Or instead of being at the mercy of any mad US leader we should be instead standing on our feet where we don't have to rely on some madman and then hail it as a good foreign ''success'' for us if he's elected.
He will also push for deals with the UK which will push the NHS into being privatised and the UK being weaker especially post Brexit will have to negotiate some tough deals. Certain poster(s) here just months called all doctors and nurses (and me and my wife personally) 's.cum' 'living on handouts', I am sure they will delighted when they have to pay through their noses, while doctors would finally earn salaries at the levels of other Western nations. Even with this carrot I'd rather we earn what we earn now if it means the public has free healthcare, but mark my words, under Trump he will push for a trade deal which will compromise the NHS. And NHS is struggling now, it will be an absolute disaster if it does not get help it needs and if its left to the mercy of any deal.
I haven't even mentioned his 27 sexual assault allegations. Not one, two but 27. Even at the worst sure innocent until proven guilty but it should atleast suspend him from running any electoral contest.

Kennedy was hypocrite on the Cuban Missioe crisis, if the Americans could keep weapons on the Soviet borders in places like Turkey, then why did he have problem with Russians having weapons in Cuba?
Todat Russia isn't any better, its just weaker. Putin is the same as the Americans and all these ego driven cretins who have caused havoc with the World. There are no good World leaders, they are just out to get as much as they can to stay in power.

The radical left have their favourites too, Politico, Guardian, The Atlantic.
But yes you are correct. The more prestigious should be more balanced, The Times, BBC, WSJ, et al. Then you have the TV Channels.
There is no denying MSM was against Trump because he called them for what they were.
