Sri Lanka captain Dimuth Karunaratne has closed in on a top-10 spot in the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s Test Player Rankings after a successful second Test against Bangladesh in Kandy which his side won by 209 runs to clinch the two-match series 1-0.

The opening batsman struck 118 and 66, moving up four slots to 11th position in the list led by New Zealand captain Kane Williamson. Karunaratne’s career-best ranking is sixth, attained in August 2019. He is the top-ranked Test batsman from Sri Lanka with Angelo Mathews next in the list in 24th position.

Niroshan Dickwella (up four places to 31st), Oshada Fernando (up 10 places to 58th) and Lahiru Thirimanne (up 13 places to 60th) are the other Sri Lanka batsmen to advance while left-arm spinner Praveen Jayawickrama’s player of the match haul of 11 for 178, the best figures by a Sri Lankan on Test debut, sees him enter the rankings in 48th position.

Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal’s knocks of 92 and 24 have helped him gain three places to reach 27th position while Mushfiqur Rahim and captain Mominul Haque have inched up a slot each to reach 21st and 30th positions, respectively, in the latest men’s weekly update that includes the first Test between Zimbabwe and Pakistan.

Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali’s haul of nine for 89 in the first Test against Zimbabwe in Harare not only won him the player of the match award for starring in the innings victory but also enabled him to gain 15 slots and reach a career-best 20th position among bowlers.

Left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Afridi (up two places to 31st) and left-arm spinner Nauman Ali (up 12 places to 54th) have also advanced in the list for bowlers while left-handed batsman Fawad Alam continues his fine run, moving up 31 places to a career-best 47th position after scoring 140, his fourth century in 10 Test matches. Abid Ali is up six places to 78th position.

For Zimbabwe, Regis Chakabva has gained two slots to reach 97th position while fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani has progressed 26 slots to reach 55th position with figures of four for 73.

Kohli had the best peak. As good as ABDV was, Kohli's run of form was too good not to displace him. And once ABDv retired there was nobody left to compete. Amla, Devilliers and Kohli all make the all time rankings, show how good of a class these batsmen were in the 2010s.

I don't know if Virat will reclaim his number 1 spot though. He's past his peak. He'll remain in the top 10 but I don't know if he'll close out this year as numero uno.

Pakistan bowlers Hasan Ali, Nauman Ali and Shaheen Afridi have all achieved career-best positions in the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s Test Player Rankings after becoming the first trio from their country to grab five-wicket hauls in the same match.

Fast bowler Hasan Ali (5-27 in the first innings), left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Afridi (5-52 in the second innings) and left-arm spinner Nauman Ali (5-86 in the second innings) played important roles as Pakistan won the second Test against Zimbabwe in Harare by an innings and 147 runs to complete a 2-0 series win.

Hasan has moved up six places to 14th position, Shaheen is up nine places to 22nd and Nauman has gone from 54th to 46th position after registering only the sixth instance of three bowlers from one side finishing with five-wicket hauls in the same Test.

It was the first such instance in 28 years, the last one being when Australia’s Paul Reiffel, Shane Warne and Tim May achieved the feat against England at Edgbaston in 1993.

Meanwhile, opener Abid Ali’s player of the match performance of 215 not out has helped him advance 38 places to 40th among batsmen while Azhar Ali has gained four slots to reach 16th position after scoring 126. Nauman has also gained in this list, his quick 97 lifting him 35 places to 116th spot.

For Zimbabwe, Regis Chakabva has gained 16 slots to reach 81st place after scores of 33 and 80 while Luke Jongwe has entered the rankings in 133rd position. Fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani’s haul of three for 82 sees him advance four places to 51st. Tendai Chisoro is up 11 slots to 110th position.

ICC World Test Championship finalists India and New Zealand remain the top two teams in the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s Test Team Rankings after the annual update carried out on Thursday.

India have gained one rating point for an aggregate of 121 and New Zealand are only one point behind after gaining two points in Thursday’s update, which eliminates results from 2017-18.

India’s 2-1 win over Australia and 3-1 win over England over the past year and New Zealand’s 2-0 series wins over the West Indies and Pakistan have helped them keep ahead of the pack.

The latest update, which rates all matches played since May 2020 at 100 per cent and those of the previous two years at 50 per cent, sees England overtake Australia to third position as England’s 4-0 defeat to Australia in 2017-18 has dropped from the rankings.

Pakistan have gained three points but remain in fifth position while the West Indies, who beat Bangladesh 2-0 and drew 0-0 with Sri Lanka in series played this year, have moved from eighth to sixth, their best position since 2013.

South Africa are in seventh position, equaling their lowest in Test ranking history, while Sri Lanka are next on the list. Bangladesh have lost five points but remain in ninth position while Zimbabwe have gained eight points but are still nine points behind Bangladesh.

MRF Tyres ICC Test Team Rankings (as of 13 May 2021, following the annual update):

    Rank Team Points

    1 India 121 (+1)

    2 New Zealand 120 (+2)

    3 England 109 (+3)

    4 Australia 108 (-5)

    5 Pakistan 94 (+3)

    6 West Indies 84 (+3)

    7 South Africa 80 (-9)

    8 Sri Lanka 78 (-5)

    9 Bangladesh 46 (-5)

    10 Zimbabwe 35 (+8)

*Afghanistan and Ireland have Test status but have not played enough matches to figure on the rankings table

Mehidy Hasan rises to No. 2 in MRF Tyres ICC Men’s ODI Player RankingsBangladesh off-spinner Mehidy Hasan has become only the third bowler from his country to be ranked among the top two of the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings after a fine showing in the first two matches of their ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League series against Sri Lanka.

Mehidy has advanced three places to reach the second position after returning figures of four for 30 and three for 28 bowling with the new ball. All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan had grabbed the number one position in 2009 for the first time while left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak is the other Bangladesh bowler to have been in the top two, reaching the second position in 2010.

Left-arm fast bowler Mustafizur Rehman is another one from Bangladesh to move up the list, his hauls of three for 34 and three for 16 lifting him eight places to ninth position. Rahim’s best position has been fifth, which he had attained in December 2018.

Mushfiqur Rahim, player of the match in both ODIs, has moved up four places to a career-best 14th position after scoring 84 and 125. Mahmudullah has advanced two places to 38th position after his scores of 54 and 41.

For Sri Lanka, fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera’s haul of three for 44 in the second match has lifted him 11 places to joint-61st along with compatriot PWH de Siva, who too has advanced eight places.

Dhananjaya de Silva (up nine places to 83rd) and Lakshan Sandakan (up nine places to 94th) are among the other bowlers to gain in the latest weekly update that also includes performances in the two-match series between the Netherlands and Scotland.

Scotland batsman Richard Berrington’s knock of 41 in the first match of the series played in Rotterdam has lifted him two places to joint-72nd while the Netherlands’ opener Max O’Dowd’s 102-ball 82 in the same match sees him progress 11 places to 150th.

Scotland’s new-ball bowler Alasdair Evans has moved up 10 places to 89th after his five-wicket haul in the second match helped his team draw the series 1-1.

Sri Lanka fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera and captain Kusal Perera have made considerable gains in the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings after starring in a 97-run victory over Bangladesh in the final match of their ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League series.

Chameera’s career-best haul of five for 16, which won him the Player of the Match award, has also helped him advance 27 slots to a career-best 33rd position. The 29-year-old had started the series in 72nd position and moved up last week with a three-wicket haul in the second match.

Perera’s sixth ODI century has lifted him 13 places to 42nd place in the weekly update to the men’s rankings, which is carried out on Wednesdays. This is only one place shy of the left-handed batsman’s career-best ranking of 41st achieved in June 2016.

Dhananjaya de Silva is another Sri Lanka player to gain in the rankings, moving up 10 places to 85th after a knock of 55. He has also progressed two places to 79th among bowlers and is up seven places to 24th among all-rounders. Leg-spinner Wasindu Hasaranga has moved up nine places to joint-51st position.

For Bangladesh, who won the series 2-1, Mahmudullah’s knock of 53 sees him advance two slots to 36th position while Mosaddek Hussain’s innings of 51 has lifted him 12 places to 113th in the rankings. Fast bowler Taskin Ahmed, who grabbed four for 46, has progressed 12 places to 88th position.

Opener Devon Conway has entered the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s Test Player Rankings in 77th position with a record 447 rating points, the highest for a New Zealand batsman on debut and the third highest ever on debut.

The 29-year-old left-hander, who scored 200 and 23 in the drawn first Test against England at Lord’s, entered the list at two points less than RE Foster of England and one less than Kyle Mayers of the West Indies.

Foster had slammed 287 on debut against Australia in Sydney in 1903 for the record of 449 rating points while Mayers had scored 40 and 210 not out in the first Test against Bangladesh in Chittagong in February this year to log 448 points.

Conway, who is currently ranked fourth in T20Is and 121st in ODIs, has bettered the New Zealand mark of 440 rating points on Test debut by Lou Vincent against Australia at Perth in 2001.

Fast bowler Tim Southee is another one to make it big in the latest update to the men’s weekly rankings, his second six-wicket haul at Lord’s pushing him to a career-best third position while achieving the third best rating points by a New Zealand bowler. He has gone up to 838 points, with only Richard Hadlee (909) and Neil Wagner (859) having achieved higher bowling points.

Among the England players, Rory Burns has moved up 21 places to 22nd position after his century in the first innings while Ollie Pope (up seven places to 52nd) and Dom Sibley (up 17 places to 55th) have also advanced among batsmen.

Mark Wood, who finished with four wickets in the match, has progressed from 48th to 42nd position and captain Joe Root is up to 82nd among bowlers. Debutant Ollie Robinson has entered the batting list in 91st position and the bowling list in 69th place.

In the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings, Max O’Dowd of the Netherlands has moved up 42 places to 107th position after scoring 95 runs in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League series against Ireland. Henry Tector of Ireland is up 58 slots to 128th position with 88 runs. In the bowling list, Simi Singh (up 16 places to 51st) and Craig Young (up 24 places to 82nd) are the main gainers.

The three-match series, which the Netherlands won 2-1, saw both teams move level at 20 points in the CWC Super League Standings powered by MRF Tyres. They are currently ranked ninth and 10th in the list led by Bangladesh with 50 points.

New Zealand captain Kane Williamson has reclaimed the No.1 position in the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s Test Player Rankings after leading his side to the ICC World Test Championship title in Southampton last week.

The 30-year-old’s knocks of 49 and 52 not out in the low-scoring final against India have helped him move above the 900-point mark and he now enjoys a 10-point lead over Steve Smith (891 rating points). Williamson, who conceded the top spot to Smith two weeks ago, is back in the position he had first grabbed in November 2015 during a series against Australia.

Ross Taylor, who scored an unbeaten 47 and partnered in an unbroken 96-run stand with Williamson, has advanced three places to 14th position while left-hander Devon Conway has gained 18 slots to reach 42nd place after top-scoring with 52 in the first innings.

New Zealand’s fast bowlers too have gained after thriving in the seaming conditions, player of the match Kyle Jamieson continuing the stupendous start to his Test career. His figures of five for 31 and two for 30 have pushed him up to a career-best 13th position, not surprising since no bowler has taken more Test wickets at a better average than him since 1900.

Left-armer Trent Boult’s figures of two for 48 and three for 39 have lifted him two places to 11th position while for India, vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane’s progress of three places to 13th position after scores of 49 and 15, was the only notable gain.

Ravindra Jadeja has slipped behind West Indian Jason Holder to second position after a week at the top of the rankings for all-rounders.

In the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings, West Indies’ left-handed opener Evin Lewis has moved from 13th to 10th position after a player of the match effort of 71 off 35 balls in the first of the two matches of their ongoing five-match series that counted for this week’s rankings. Left-arm spinner Fabian Allen has progressed 23 places to 20th position.

South Africa’s Quinton de Kock (up one place to 22nd), Reeza Hendricks (up three places to 24th) and Temba Bavuma (up 24 places to 64th) are among the others to move up.

England’s 3-0 series win over Sri Lanka, which should come as a morale booster for the 50-over World champions ahead of this year’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, sees several of their players move up too.

Chris Jordan (up five places to 11th), Mark Wood (up 11 places to 14th), Sam Curran (up 62 places to 39th) and David Willey (up 23 places to 51st) have progressed in the bowlers’ list while for Sri Lanka, Wanindu Hasaranga has moved up five places to fifth and Dushmantha Chameera 41 places to 43rd.

The latest weekly update, which includes performances in the Sofia four-team tournament won by Romania, and which also featured Bulgaria, Serbia and Greece, saw Romania’s Ramesh Satheesan enter the top 100. He has moved up 101 slots to 95th position after topping the series aggregate with 197 runs.

We compare Mickey's worst record vs Misbah's best records

Mickey at least have 1 CT and sustained #1 T20 ranking to boast about in his tenure
We also saw the likes of new players coming and performing
Now they same players are performing worst

Every coach (Mickey or Misbah or something else) will have bias..
But foreign coaches at least give something to us; on the other hand Misbah-Waqar support brigade has made us believe that we will do more worse if Misbah and Waqar are not around, however, reality is we always improved when Misbah - Waqar are not around

Pakistan opener Mohammad Rizwan and England middle-order batsman Liam Livingstone have made huge progress in the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings after finishing as the leading run scorers for their teams in the three-match series won 2-1 by England.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Rizwan has attained a career-best seventh position after aggregating 176 runs in the series including an unbeaten 76 in the final match in Manchester, performances that helped him gain four places. The 29-year-old had reached the top 10 for the first time in his career after a Player of the Series effort against Zimbabwe in April this year and has reaped benefits of his continued good effort.

Livingstone has galloped 144 places to reach 27th position after playing just eight T20Is since his debut against South Africa four years ago. The 27-year-old’s aggregate of 147 runs against Pakistan included his maiden international century, a valiant 43-ball 103 in the first match.

The latest update to the men’s rankings, carried out on Wednesdays and which this week includes performances in the last two T20I matches between the West Indies and Australia as well as the first one between Ireland and South Africa, West Indies opener Evin Lewis has moved up from 10th to eighth after scores of 31 and 79.

Among other batters to advance are Aiden Markram of South Africa (up four places to 15th), Jason Roy of England (up seven places to 17th), Mitchell Marsh of Australia (up 46 places to 37th), Harry Tector of Ireland (up 11 places to 83rd) and the West Indies pair of Lendl Simmons (up 13 places to 51st) and Nicholas Pooran (up 16 places to 63rd).

In the rankings for bowlers, Pakistan’s left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has gained four places to reach 13th position after finishing with four wickets, including a Player of the Match effort of three for 30 in the first T20I in Nottingham.

Leg-spinner Shadab Khan and fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain, both of whom finished with four wickets in the series, have also progressed in the latest update. Shadab has gained six slots to reach 36th place while Hasnain is up from 67th to 41st.

Australia pace aces Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc have rocketed up the ICC ODI bowling rankings in the latest update.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka spinner Wanindu Hasaranga has climbed to a career-best ranking of second among T20I bowlers.

Hazlewood and Starc were central to Australia’s ODI series win over West Indies, with Hazlewood the most economic bowler from either side and Starc the campaign’s most dangerous bowler by the length of the straight.

Hazlewood, who took five wickets at 5.80 with an economy of 2.07 an over, has surged five places to second on the bowling rankings. He sits behind New Zealand seamer Trent Boult, who leads the Australian 737 rating points to 709. It is the first time Hazlewood has sat second on the rankings since 2018.

Starc, who took 11 wickets at 10.63 and struck every 14.8 deliveries, climbed 10 spots to eighth with 652 rating points. It is the highest Starc has sat on the rankings since early 2020 but such was the left-armer’s form against West Indies that coach Justin Langer hailed him the best white-ball bowler in the world.

“I think Mitchell Starc is the best white ball bowler in the world,” Langer said after Australia’s series win.

“He bowls up front, swings the ball. He is the best bowler at the death in the world. He is great to have in our team. The combination with him and Josh Hazlewood is a real plus for us.”

Hasaranga, who sat third among T20I bowlers before this week’s update, has moved to second with a rating of 720 after taking 2/28 in the series opener against India on Sunday.

There were no major moves in the ODI or T20I batting or all-rounder rankings for the top 10.

Shakib Al Hasan has climbed back to the top of the MRF Tyres ICC Menís T20I all-rounder rankings for the first time since early 2018.

Shakib earned 34 rating points over the course of the final four T20Is against Australia to move to 286 points Ė one more than Afghanistanís Mohammad Nabi.

The rise to the top of the rankings continues what has been a fruitful period for the Bangladeshi all-rounder, who earned an ICC Menís Player of the Month nomination for July and became just the second man to take 100 T20I wickets during the fifth match against Australia.

The 34-year-old was the Player of the Series in Bangladeshís 4-1 win over Australia, finishing with the third-most wickets (seven at 18.14) and second-most runs (114 at 22.80) in either side.

Shakib was not the only major winner from Bangladesh on the latest rankings update, with Mustafizur Rahman climbing 20 spots to move to 10th on the T20I bowling rankings with 619 rating points. The wily seamer improved his rating by an even 100 across the final four T20Is against Australia, finishing with a campaign haul of seven wickets at 8.57, leaking just 3.52 runs per over.

Meanwhile, Bumrah has rocketed back into the top 10 of the MRF Tyres ICC bowling rankings after his nine-wicket haul in the first match against England.

Absent from the top 10 since late March, Bumrah has climbed 10 spots to ninth on the rankings with 760 rating points. He gained 77 points in the first Test against England.

It is the first time Bumrah has been in the top 10 since late March, with the Indian spearhead now sandwiched between Stuart Broad (8th) and Mitchell Starc (10th). James Anderson climbed one spot to seventh on the rankings at the expense of bowling partner Broad.

Bumrah was not the only major mover from that Test, with England captain Joe Root leapfrogging India counterpart Virat Kohli to fourth on the batting rankings thanks to his major contributions in both innings.

Root scored a fluid 64 in Englandís first innings before restoring their hopes of victory with a brilliant 109 in the second dig, earning 49 rating points to go to 846 overall. Kohli fell for a rare golden duck in Indiaís first innings and was yet to bat in the second when rain washed out the final day with India needing 157 runs to win with nine wickets in hand.

The strong position the tourists were in was largely thanks to the efforts of Bumrah, who led the attack expertly, taking 4/46 in the first innings and 5/64 in the second. It was the 27-year-oldís sixth Test five-wicket haul and his first since August 2019.

Ravindra Jadeja also moved to outright second on the all-rounder rankings with 377 rating points, seven more than Ben Stokes.

England captain Joe Root’s valiant 180 not out in the first innings of the Lord’s Test has taken him to within striking distance of top-ranked batter Kane Williamson in the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s Test Player Rankings.

Root, who started the series in fifth place and overtook Virat Kohli after the first match against India, has risen another two slots to second position after the second Test. Root, a formerly top-ranked batter in the format, is on 893 rating points, only eight less than Kiwi skipper Williamson.

Player of the Match Lokesh Rahul is another batter to gain after helping India to a 151-run victory and a 1-0 lead in the five-Test series.

The 29-year-old opener, whose career-best is the eighth position he attained in November 2017, has gained 19 slots to reach 37th place with a knock of 129 in the first innings.

The bowlers to gain from the Lord’s Test include James Anderson, who has gained one spot and is sixth after a five-wicket haul in the first innings while other England pace bowler Mark Wood and India’s Mohammad Siraj have made significant gains to reach 37th and 38th positions, respectively. Wood has gained five slots with five wickets in the match while Siraj’s four wickets in each innings see him gain 18 places.

The latest weekly update, which includes performances in the first Test in Kingston, sees Pakistan captain Babar Azam move up two slots to eighth position among batters after scores of 30 and 55 while Faheem Ashraf and Fawad Alam have gained four slots each to reach 48th and 55th positions, respectively.

For the West Indies, who won by one wicket, Jermaine Blackwood has gained nine slots to reach 35th position after getting 22 and 55. All-rounder Jason Holder is up five places to 43rd and captain Kraigg Brathwaite, who missed a first-innings century by three runs, has advanced 18 places to 45th.

Holder has also moved into the top 10 for bowlers, his four wickets in the match lifting him two places to ninth position. Fast bowler Jayden Seales has soared 39 places to 58th after his eight-wicket match haul that earned him the Player of the Match award while Kemar Roach is another gainer, moving up two places to 11th.

For Pakistan, left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has gained four slots to reach 18th position after taking four wickets in each innings and Faheem is up four places to 71st

A stellar Test series against the West Indies has moved Shaheen Afridi into the top-ten of the ICC MRF Tyres Test Bowling rankings for the first time.

Climbing ten spots to make his entry, Afridi is the highest-ranked Pakistan bowler in the new rankings, eighth on 783 points. In the ICC MRF Tyres Test Batting rankings, Afridi’s compatriot, Babar Azam, has jumped to seventh spot.

Afridi was relentless in Jamaica, with the fiery left-arm quick picking up 18 wickets across the two matches, seven more than the next-best bowler, Jayden Seales. Taking eight wickets in the first Test, Afridi went on to claim career-best match figures of 10/94 in the second match, spearheading Pakistan’s charge to a 109-run victory at Sabina Park.

Relentless throughout the four innings, Afridi took a wicket roughly every four overs, at an average of just 11.27, dismissing seven West Indian players at least twice in the series. West Indian wicketkeeper Joshua da Silva fell to Afridi in three of the four innings.

Good to see a (young)Pakistani fast bowler in Top 10. Hasan will hopefully break into top 10 soon as well.
Fawad will probably make top 10 as well with his penchant of centuries.

Babar needs to improve massively to come close to top 3.

No Pakistani ODI bowler in top 10 as expected. We have been very poor in ODIs.

Chris Woakes made a brilliant comeback into the England squad in the fourth Test against India at The Oval, performing well with both the bat and the ball, and moving up in the MRF Tyres ICC Test Player Rankings.

Despite England losing the contest on the final day, Woakes was a star performer for the home side, scalping seven wickets in the match while also scoring a half-century in the first innings. The performance in the match has enabled him to jump into the top 10 in the Test rankings for all-rounders, gaining two spots up to No.9.

In the bowling rankings for Test, James Anderson dropped down two spots to No.7. with Neil Wagner and Kagiso Rabada gaining one spot each, to jump up to No.5 and N.6 respectively.

In the batting rankings for Tests, the top.10 remained the same with every player retaining their positions.

The ODI rankings also saw some movements, with Kane Williamson moving up a spot to No.9 while Quinton de Kock dropped down two spots to No.10 in the batting charts. Jaaneman Malan also moved up 31 places to No.34 in the rankings. Charith Asalanka's 196 runs in the series against South Africa also saw him jumping up 122 places to the 66th position.

The bowling rankings for ODI saw all the top 10 players retain their spots. The same was the case with the ranking charts for the all-rounders.

With the action coming in thick and fast in the shortest format of the game, there were some significant movements in the T20I rankings across all disciplines.

In the batting rankings, Aaron Finch, Evin Lewis and Rassie van der Dussen all gained one spot each — moving up to No.3, No.8 and No.9 respectively. Ireland's Paul Stirling was another notable gainer, moving up nine spots to No.14.

In the bowling charts, Australian spin duo Ashton Agar and Adam Zampa moved up one spot each to No.6 and No.7 in the rankings respectively. Shakib Al Hasan also moved into the top 10, gaining three spots to jump up to No.9.

The all-rounder rankings also witnessed some movements as Zimbabwe's Ryan Burl gained one spot up to No.8. Zeeshan Maqsood of Oman also moved into the top 10, gaining one spot.

Quinton de Kock was the chief architect with the bat in South Africa's 3-0 whitewash over Sri Lanka, finishing as the top scorer in the recently concluded series.

The wicketkeeper-batter accumulated 153 runs at an average of 153 and a healthy strike rate of 121.42. His solid display has seen him jump four places to the eighth spot in the latest MRF Tyres ICC Men's T20I Rankings for batters.

His fellow opener, Reeza Hendricks, who was the second-highest run-scorer in the series with 112 runs, too moved up the batting charts and broke into the top 20. Aiden Markram was another Proteas player who made huge gains in the latest rankings updates, climbing 12 spots to become the 11th ranked batter in T20Is.

Kusal Perera was one of the few bright spots in the series for Sri Lanka. Back after nursing a shoulder injury, he made an instant impact upon his return, scoring 69 runs in two matches and jumped 10 places to No.39.

In the bowlers' rankings, the top wicket-taker of the series, Bjorn Fortuin, gained a whopping 103 places to break into the top 50.

There was some movement in the rankings after the completion of the T20I series between Bangladesh and New Zealand. Blackcaps skipper Tom Latham and Finn Allen both attained career-high rankings, finishing 44th and 66th respectively. Bangladesh's Mohammad Naim and Mahmud Ullah too jumped three spots each to No.24 and No.29 respectively.

In the Men's T20 Rankings for bowlers, Mustafizur Rahman scaled two spots to No.8 after a brilliant four-for in the fourth T20I that reduced New Zealand to just 93. Nasum Ahmed bagged a four-wicket haul of his own in the same game which saw him gain a massive 25 places to become the 15th ranked T20I bowler in the world.

New Zealand spinner Ajaz Patel made a rapid ascent into the top 60 by climbing 93 spots in the latest rankings for bowlers.

Bangladesh skipper Mahmud Ullah's fine batting displays in the final two T20Is has helped him break into the top 10 of T20I all-rounders rankings, tied with Kenya's Collins Obuya at No.10 with 130 rating points. Shakib Al Hasan, who was rested for the final game, dropped a place to No.2 which took Mohammad Nabi to the top of the rankings for all-rounders.

In the ODI Player Rankings, USA's Jaskaran Malhotra, who grabbed all the headlines after smashing six 6s in an over against Papua New Guinea, rocketed 169 spots up to No. 132 in the batting charts. Amongst the bowlers, Ireland's Andrew Balbirnie and Simi Singh reached career-best rankings after the ODI series against Zimbabwe, rising to 27th and 38th respectively.
