Well then it’s just that last session, this morning should be fine, it’s something to do with the breeze that gives the fast bowlers movement in the evening. Take a session at a time. Let’s see what happens, InshAllah a fight back from Fawad and Azhar followed by the rest.

Pakistan need to make sure they rotate the strike , not get bogged down , that would put SA under pressure , SA do not have too many runs to play with here

This is a horrible pitch. ICC surely will look into this.

Cricbuzz: Plenty of signs of variable bounce and we are just into the first over of the second day. This could be trouble for the batsmen going forward

Pitches that turn square are actually fine. It's these kinds of rubbish pitches that should be fined.

Poor wicket...I don't mind a turner but the bounce has to be even atleast for first 3 days.
Uneven bounce from day 1 itself is too much of a lottery and not a test of skill.

I wonder what roller Pak took, if it was a heavy one it could cause the p it tch to start cracking up after hour and half or two hours. So Pak needs to make as many as they can now. Pak just need to be careful against world class bowler Rabada and not give wickets away to Mahraj who can be threatening on his day.

The first session will be the easiest to bat on all days, with it getting more and more difficult as the day goes by. So along with defending, Pak batsmen should also look to score more in this session

Wasim Akram is an absolute genius. It is extremely sad that he is not our coach.

Which is pretty much a myth. Turners are not rubbish pitches. We have probably produced 3-4 rubbish pitches in around 12 years where the bounce has been unpredictable on day 1/day 2. South Africa in recent years have produced rubbish too. Against us and and a pitch against Pakistan when they toured and these are just recently.
And data doesn't even support the myth of us producing rank turners. In the last decade, our pitches spun the least among all Asian countries.Last edited by Nikhil_cric; 27th January 2021 at 11:24.
