His batting revolves around just power hitting which he is good at but not enough, needs to improve his bowling. He is definitely a better bowler than he has shown so far in the PSL. Maybe the pressure of the stage and nerves, some players take more time than others to overcome that.

When babar is not performing then peeps are like why isn't he hitting boundaries.
When he hit boundaries.
Nah club level bowlers.
Why is it only babar who makes it possible to have so many big partnerships .
Its something that counts.
He is not a power hitter Never will be ,but he is a good timer which was the reason why he was so successful even in t20 post 2019 south Africa series.
Now he is just out of form period.

This thread is just another manifestation of when you talk one extreme or another then once you turn out to be on the wrong side of the extreme comments you try extra hard to cover that. Our fans are too quick to judge, hype or discard a player. Skills and ability is not a constant phenomenon and players improve and develop certain aspects at different stages lf their careers.

Karachi on verge of winning this game but this win is because of sublime innings from Nabi but most of the deluded Pakistani fans will claim Babar won this game on his own for Karachi.

Ok...I forgot about that match but still before that he got 90 of 65 against Multan and won it for his team.
He's not a natural power hitter but there's a definite improvement in that area in recent times from him....so we should appreciate it and hopefully he can improve further.

Its always about staying in the moment of the game to win the game. Had Babar thrown it away, it would have been game over for KK. So well thought out game plan was there. Nabi can he change his Nationality to Pakistani, v good player.

That was a very calculated innings from Babar. He started slowly when wickets were going down at the other end. He was rotating the strike well before Nabi came in and played his anchoring role well when he was hitting nicely. He then targeted Amad with some big hits and turned the match completely in Karachi's favor, before finishing it easily.
Some "experts" on this forum want him to come at the crease and start slogging from the very first ball are just immature or lack basic cricketing knowledge.

Half-centuries from Babar Azam and Mohammad Nabi guided Karachi Kings to a comfortable six-wicket win over Peshawar Zalmi at the National Stadium on Wednesday. This is Kings’ third win in the HBL PSL 6.
Kings surmounted the 189-run target with three balls spare as Nabi stroked his second successive half-century with a brisk 35-ball 67, studded by eight fours and four sixes and Babar hammered six fours and three sixes in his unbeaten knock of 77 off 47.
The pair stitched a match-winning 118-run partnership for the fourth wicket.
Mohammad Imran struck on the first ball of the innings as he dismissed in-form Sharjeel Khan for no score. Joe Clarke (17 off 14, four fours) and Colin Ingram (three off 11) were next to go leaving the scorecard reading at 43 for three at the end of seventh over.
But the three wickets did not inflict the harm which Zalmi had hoped for thanks to a solid Babar-Nabi partnership.
Nabi, who was dropped on 20 in the 11th over, made full use of the reprieve as he smashed Zalmi bowlers all around the park. He brought up his half-century of just 28 balls and hit Amad Butt for three fours and a six in the 14th over, which went for 18 runs.
Babar scored his half-century in 35 balls, and smacked two sixes and a four off Amad’s fourth over, 16th over of the innings which went for 25 runs.
For Zalmi, Saqib Mahmood picked two wickets for 41.
Earlier, Zalmi were dealt blows early on in their innings as King’s emerging player Abbas Afridi, on his debut, dismissed both openers – Kamran Akmal (21 off 17, four fours) and Tom Kohler-Cadmore (10 off 11, one six) – in the fifth over.
Shoaib Malik, captaining for the first time in HBL PSL 6 due to an injury to Wahab Riaz, was next to walk back to the pavilion after he was adjudged LBW on the first ball of the sixth over off Mohammad Ilyas. The dismissal left Zalmi reeling at 34 for three.
The recovery that the pair of Haider Ali (nine off 12, one four) and Ravi Bopara looked to stage was interrupted in the 10th over with the dismissal of the former off Dan Christian. Zalmi, at half-way stage, were 69 for four.
Bopara, however, ensured that the dismissal did not have any adverse impact on the scoring rate as he scored a fighting half-century. Over the course of his 40-ball 58, he struck six fours and a six.
He with Sherfane Rutherford denied Kings’ bowlers any further inroads for the next nine overs as the two knitted a crucial 82-run partnership for the fifth wicket. The left-handed Rutherford struck three fours and as many sixes in his knock of 46 from 32 balls.
That the Zalmi were able to post 188 for five was due to explosive batting from all-rounder Amad down the order. Amad returned undefeated on 27 from seven balls. The right-handed batsman clubbed Christian for three fours and two sixes in the final over which went for 32 runs – the most expensive over in the history of HBL PSL.
Scores in brief
Peshawar Zalmi 188-5, 20 overs (Ravi Bopara 58 not out, Sherfane Rutherford 46, Amad Butt 27 not out; Abbas Afridi 2-27, Mohammad Ilyas 2-38)
Karachi Kings 191-4, 19.3 overs (Babar Azam 77 not out, Mohammad Nabi 67; Saqib Mahmood 2-41)
Player-of-the-match – Mohammad Nabi
Arsenal all the way!! (and Pakistan, of course!)

Babar Azam (77*) and Mohammad Nabi (67) help Karachi to an impressive 6-wicket win over Peshawar
I actually went away only for the mid-day prayer and returned to find out that Karachi are cruising along to a win. I was shocked! Kudos to Babar Azam for showing his other game too. Brilliant batting by him and Nabi, of course.
1279742105th match in the PSL decided by dropped catches and poor fielding.

Agreed, but some people also have to understand that he's about 27 years old now. He has about 6000 T20 runs under his name with how he plays, at an average of 45 and a SR of 125.
His SR has gone up in recent times, but there is still room for improvement. It's hard at the age he is to start doing things which you aren't used to doing. He's a stroke-player, and to go from that to a hard-hitting T20 batsman isn't an easy transition.
Personally, I think Babar will be just fine with a SR of 134+. He's not a liability in T20s, he's there to provide stability and control.
However, it is possible to develop a few boundary shots, even if it means slogging the ball sometimes. It's clear that he has a positive intention to improve his strike rate, and hopefully we see him improving as a player and as a captain as well.
Probably Pakistan's best T20 batsman, by quite a margin.

Babar would struggled badly had Nabi not taken the pressure off him
