England defeat India in record chase by 7 wickets in rescheduled 5th Test at Edgbaston: Series drawn
England need 119 more runs to win - India will feel a couple of wickets in the first hour and they are back in the driving seat
What a match, and what a summer England are having!

Lees: England in unbelievable position
Alex Lees is confident England can finish the job tomorrow morning.
"We’re obviously in an unbelievable position within this game," Lees said.
"Obviously, Jonny’s in the form of his life and Rooty doesn’t stop churning runs.
"I think that first hour will be really important, but I’m backing everybody from 1-11 that we should get over the line."

Don't see India winning. Root is a GOAT vs India.
Nevertheless, 2-2 series draw is not a bad result

England traditionally collapse in such situations when chasing on the last day. I feel there are still some twists in this match although England should still limp to a win.

Shami is a pretty good test pacer but, really surprising tp see his struggles in Eng where he is currently averaging over 40 after 13 matches.

Indian bowling has been shockingly poor this morning.
The plan should have been to bowl outside off stump, not go for the magic balls.
I think the pressure has got to them especially that final session yesterday.

I agree. Even Wahab who had his limitations especially in such conditions averaged 32 in Eng with 17 wickets in 5 matches.
Its not like Shami has always bowled poorly in Eng rather on face value with number of play and misses he has bowled well but, he has been bit on the shorter side more often then not which is required in such conditions and in the end just 38 wickets in 13 matches.

India get 416 then reduce England to 83-5, yet this is happening.
It has been India's misfortune to run into one of England's greatest ever batters in the form of his life, plus a very, very good one in the form of his.
66 overtakes YJB again.

KP mentioning that Jadeja has been darting the ball in which works in India where some spin and some remain straight but in England he needs to generate bit more loop, drift and flight.
I think Ashwin in recent times have been smarter in this regard where he was able to understand the requirements from him on a given surface.

- Jadeja is pure garbage as a bowler in overseas. He should either bat as a batsmen or get out
- Shardul got earlier fluke performances otherwise he is garbage as well
- Shami has lost some pace as well, he is still decent but not as good he used to be(Age fraud for sure)
- Ashwin should always play
- They are badly misssing Ishan Sharma(the version that played under Kohli)
- Siraj Purple patch is over
- Jadeja is pure garbage as a bowler in overseas. He should either bat as a batsmen or get out

This is a stroll in the park. India’s bowling this morning has been poor and Kohli is quiet as a mouse. They were clearly mentally defeated yesterday by the Lees-Crawley opening partnership and the great Root-Bairstow stand.
