Everyone would love to watch that encounter however, considering the overall atmosphere and issues between two countries its does not seem likely.

It won't happen india are too afraid to play pakistan, if india lose it will be chaos in india
For india cricket match vs pakistan is like taking revenge for the soldiers killed on the border.. its equivalent war they won't risk it

India is not afraid of a mediocre mid-table team. It has always been about money. India does not want Pakistan making money out of them. It is that simple.
India has plenty of money already and they can live without the money they will earn from bilateral cricket Pakistan. However, the revenue from bilateral cricket between the two countries would be game changing for PCB and India obviously does not want that.

"Cricket losses being end of the world " is a mindset India has come out for a while now. While we do celebrate the regular World Cup phaintas we dish out to parosis, losses don't lead to the same rona dhona this side of the border.
Cricketers aren't Gods now, and Cricket isn't a religion. IPL has turned Cricket into product you tune in for good time. You will see that with Indian team as well, they take losses really well.

As much as I want an India vs Pakistan test series, the issue is most of their test sereis used to be played on flat wickets, which end up becoming high scoring draws.
If proper wickets are made, would love to see a test series at the same between these two. But I doubt it would happen.

I'm not really interested in a test series anymore.
I don't really know any of their players and our big names of the recent past that I would have liked to see against India ( Misbah, Younis, peak Yasir Shah in Asia) are all gone.
5 match ODI series with a 7 match T20 series is the way to go for me.

India is a dull Test team, would rather see a series against Australia again or SA. And playing in subcontinent will be another borefest.
Regardless its sport and it should be played as such instead or playing petty politics that they love playing. They will continue playing drama of border jawaans lives important for certain games and not so important for other gamesHum ye khelay gae, hum woh nahi khelay gae, hum wahan nahi khel sakte etc etc.... Such drama queens for such an average team.

I don’t remember the last time a test match was draw in India. India blanks most visiting teams and good teams like Aus and Eng win a consolation game once in a while.
You are confusing Pakistan pitches (based on recent series) with Indian pitches .
In fact India, Bangladesh and Srilanka all 3 produce result pitches even if it is in favor of home side usually.

Anyone who is a genuine cricket fan would love to see a test series between Pakistan and India - either in Pakistan or in India.
However politics will not allow it to happen any time soon - things can and will change, however.

Unlike Indian, we Pakistanis do criticise openly and don't take offence to everything like our fragile parosis. PCB has been criticized many times for dead pitches.... but batting paradise, dust bowls and cracking wickets from second day of Indian pitches are equally terrible and not sporting wickets. Sub-continent in general have bad pitches.

2022- 2007 =? Years
Also sure there might be an odd match draw here and there but very rare and there is a reason that our fast bowlers and spinners all have nearly 200+ wickets.
R. Ashwin- debut 2011 442 wickets
R. Jadeja- debut 2012-2013 242 wickets
M. Shami, U. Yadav 216, 158 wickets respectively
Ishant - 311 wickets
Not counting Bumrah because he hardly played at home and Obviously not all wickets are taken at home. Check the stats of our spinners and fast bowlers at home and you will be pleasantly surprised.
At the same time Rohit, Virat, Mayank, Pujara, Rahane, Rahul have scored a lot of runs at home including multiple 200s.
Which means India have produced fairly sporting tracks apart from the odd dust bowl.
C’mon man we might be rivals but you need to follow Indian cricket a lot more as a hardcore cricket fan

dont know why you are getting salty by what i said. You dont need to take everything to heart that its anti Indian.
I was talking about pitches in both countries when it comes to Pak vs Ind, but i understand you couldn't hind ur blin nationalism and took the post to heart
-
30th November 2022, 20:57 #22
due to your blind nationalism you mis understood my post.
Pak ind test games have had pitches that were made for draws, be it Pakistan or india. Thus, my point was if a series to happen, pitches need to be right.
no need to take the post personal, accept criticism for once. The last test series between Pakistan and india was in 2007/2008.

Imagine it, a packed house at Mumbai as Shaheen Shah Afridi comes in to bowl at Virat Kohli.
Or a full house at the NSK as Bumrah bowls to Babar.
Oh well, we can dream can't we. I can't see this happening for a very long time.

I don't think we need to be afraid of being more specific here.
Indian politics will not allow it to happen. Pakistan would welcome the India team for a full tour tomorrow.
I do worry that the longer the status quo remains in place, the harder it is for mindsets to change.

Since 2010, draws as a percentage of tests played is 3rd lowest in India. Only England and SA have a lower percentage of draws among the big test nations. India have the best pitches in Asia by far.

It would be amazing if these 2 teams became good enough to play a world test championship final and played in like Lords. Would be a dream come true.
