    Sahibzada Mohammad Ashfaq Khan Afridi

    Yes, you read that right.

Shahid Afridi has a younger brother, Ashfaq Afridi.

    http://content-usa.cricinfo.com/indi...er/387170.html

He has made his debut at the end of January, top scored in his first innings with 38 off 37 - and plays in the same team as the promising Shahzaib Hasan.

It appears he may be a hard hitting lower order bat, who bowls leg-spin.

20 more years of Afridi threads anyone?

Looks like Beastology has a chance to live on for another 15-20 years. If he really is Afridi's younger brother, I cannot wait to see him progress rapidly into the Test Side. That's right, he should be placed into the Test side immediately after 5 First class matches.

Can't believe he is in a domestic team. Not sure about his leg spin but he was a nothing batsman. There were many more talented batsmen in our area.

Sort of, we didn't share the same team but we shared the same ground and I have seen him bat quite a few times.

Maybe he has improved his batting & bowling exponentially during the time I am away from home but back then he wouldn't have been picked up for even our Muhalla 2nd XI.

If he really have talent like Shahid afridi I would love to see him in national side.
Why didn't he start playing domestic cricket at age of 16 like S. afridi did.

He played 11 inns in the Inter-District Senior Tournament last year. He averaged 18.36 with the bat and a highest score of 35.

With the ball he took 18 wkts @ 32.00 in 6 games.

    http://pcboard.com.pk/Archive/Season...t_2008-09.html

So far his stats dont indicate any special talent.

    Polite request to all contributors

Can we try to keep this thread about the cricketer & his cricket abilities.

Plenty of non-cricket related nonsense is posted about Shahid Afridi - if some of the references to violence etc continue on this thread, unfortunately, we will simply remove the thread.

I really hope we dont have to.

Ashfaq Afridi is Shahid Afridi's younger brother. I've played with him in 2000, actually against him. He was 13 back then and I was 14. It was a tape ball match on a cement pitch in a park very close to Afridi's house in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi.

And guys, he's just like his legendary brother. He had almost the same shots. Ashfaq every shot in that match was sky high. He made 38 off 14 deliveries. I caught him!

I caught him!
moiz!!! do u know a boy called haris? he is my cousin, ashfaqs best friend and from gulshane iqbal. he and ashfaq always stayed together, ate together, and played together! and i was damn scared of ashfaq when i was small i dunno y, he used to cum to my aunts house to call haris bhai....so do u know him?
