Who has been the best captain?

Well the question is simple who do you think has been the best captain- younis, malik, yousuf, afridi?
(Mods please could you add a poll i think it may be interesting) I personaly think younis had the best mind as a captain. Afridi made some mistakes with fielding placements

I hate to admit, it has to be Malik.

No wonder, he has been winning domestic tournament so many times.

    obiviously Younis

I think there must be no doubt in this question . . .

Younis khan : Led us in T20 WC 2009 , Champions Trophy. & was Aiming to beat ausies & southafrica in their home grounds.

Shahid Afridi : Need some time to prove himself.

Shoaib Malik : Not a fighter, cant lead team from front. (nowdays he's leading bhabhi)

Yousif : just cant explain but

all are of the same defensive mould, none was particularly remarkable...barring the Sydney debacle, Yousuf looked the best one, under him the team many times was in strong positions on the tour down under.

None of them are legendary material but Younis Khan is probably the best among the list. Its too bad his own form went for a vacation when he took charge as captain. Under him we were essentially playing with 10 men or less.

Has to be Younis Khan. Afridi hasn't been given enough time to judge. Malik and Yousuf were pretty uninspiring.
For now, it is Younis Khan.

What a silly question, two men who are not fit enough to lead a mohalla team one clueless flash in the pan up against a world cup winner.

we will not miss a 'never will be' like Malik. Drop Him For Good.

well, the mohalla team of one has won several domestic championships, and your World Cup winner himself declared the format he was successful in to be the same as wrestling, and not to be taken seriously...

I think afridi's captaincy is a little erratic but impulsive.
I think yunis's captaincy was calming but lacked control.
I think malik's captaincy priduced the most clinical performances but lacked aggression.
Yusuf was just the worst captain I have seen.

I not really sure who is the best I just know yusuf was the worst the only worse captain could probably be razzaq.

Malik was just a terrible captain, do you guys even remember who we won against under Malik?? We were a really bad team against decent competition and everyone here was happy when he was relieved of his duties as captain.

Yousuf is by far the worst captain I have ever seen.

Younis galvanized the team and gave Afridi the confidence to perform which is a big reason we won last year. (Afridi repeatedly credited him for that)

I am satisfied with what Afridi has done so far, he reminds me of Younis' captaincy. Sure, he's not perfect and he has made some mistakes but he gets after the team after any fielding errors. He keeps a level head when things are going bad. He didn't radically change the team when we were losing and other people were panicking. He is aggressive but is patient with the gameplan.

Younis and Afridi are the only choices we have moving forward and I think they are both head and shoulders above the other two guys.

    Younis Khan

Afridi seems like a great captain in the making but needs time to prove himself.

Younus Khan is the best ! Afridi is good, he just needs a fair run to establish himself as a captain.

Younis for me too was way above the rest as a captain.
Loosing control of the team, I would blame the PCB and our 'senior / big names'. He was looking to get rid of the dead wood but the PCB did not support him and obviously the others wanted to get rid of him - 'oath' drama that came out.

Ofcourse him being out of form with the bat did not help matters. Still as a captain he was way better than the rest mentioned by the OP

It was really unfortunate that he lost form exactly at that time.

it was not 'unfortunate', he couldn't handle the heat and the pressure of the captaincy...I really don't get why people keep on making excuses for him.

lolz, God knows what pressure there was but we cannot forget before that he rescued Pakistan many times as a captain too. There might be some other pressure on him like the reports suggest.

Pakistan should keep afridi as a captain and give him time.. have him lead both ODI and Twenty 20.. call younish to captain test matches..

as far as this thread goes.. Younis was the best captain from pakistan in recent times.. if he was let captain.. he would have led pakistan to major wins..

when O when did he 'rescue' the Pakistan team as captain?! he played one massive knock at the start of his tenure, and THAT'S IT.
