Should Shoaib Malik Be Included in the Squad for the England Series?

Malik is undoubtedly struggling for form and confidence at the moment.

Do you think he should be replaced from the test squad or the one day squad for the series against England?

Perhaps you think he should be removed from both or maybe even continue to include him both squads?

As an England fan, I believe that he should be picked in every squad. Made captain perhaps. He's earned it.

But why not drop him from the odi and t20 formats?? his bowling is horrible, batting is bad as it is, fielding isnt bad but that isn't reason enough. And in any case , shouldnt a team be picked on the basis of form?(current) I am convinced there are batsman with better form(atleast slightly) in all formats, available for national duty at the moment

He is compeletely out of form. He should have been sent back to Pakistan to play QA-trophy after the ODIs against Bangladesh.

I don't think he will play the second Test either so he is just wasting his time in Bangladesh. Had he played a couple of good knocks in domesic that would have helped his confidience.

In conclusion, on current form he shouldn't be picked against England.

No he shouldn't and then he should be dropped forever and never comes back even if he averages 50+ in domestic cricket. Domestic cricket in Pakistan is really nothing. Malik averaged around 80 in the QA tournament and when he played international cricket against Bang,SL & Zimb he was horribily out of form.

YK averages 7 times more then Malik since his comeback despite playing tougher opposition. I don't know why ppl post rubbish without doing some homework. Malik averages 6.32 over 12 games since his comeback.

Mr Malik still has the potential to be a good ODI/T20 performer. His bowling and fielding has been good. May not get a starting place in the ODI v England but should be in the squad.

YK doesn't deserve a place in ODI side agreed but saying Malik and him are a similar case based on recent performance is rubbish.

Malik needs to go regardless of YK being in or out.

He needs to get back to domestic and get runs under his belt. Once he snaps out of the sania land he might just regain his focus as I feel he can do justice to the number 3 slot in ODIs.

Let's take this discussion to BZ's home .... "The Shoaib Malik Support Thread"...... and leave this thread for just this poll.

they shouldn't have bought him straight back into the team, they should have given him some first class games first to find some game. After being out for so long what do you expect his form is going to be like?

I would gamble and give malik another chance, don't ask me why though

Just got a feeling he will average 40+ with the bat in the ODI series

I like how some people think Malik should have played more firstclass to get his confidence back before coming back into the side....

Have these people even checked his friggin firstclass stats?

I chose the option keep him in the ODI and T20 squad, but remove him from the Test squad.

Very good choice.... we badly need a good tailender who can sometimes score in double digits. After all he did that 3 times in last 10 innings..... I don't think Junaid Khan, Ajmal, Umar Gul or Cheema would have done that.

To compare Malik to those batsmen is unfair to them.

Come on, show our tail enders some respect please!

Average in last 10 ODI innings:

Ajmal: 11.25
Cheema: 9.00
Gul: 7.14

Cheema hasn't had 10 innings btw.

I wish we could know who the 10 individuals are that voted in favour of Malik being selected in all squads.

I am guessing that they must be either english or Indian supporters
