Afridi can make 500 for all I care. his stupid personal records do nothing for me and they never have. it's this attitude that is part of the problem which makes him play for the gallery and the crowd instead of the team.

I hope this is Afridi's last game in Pak colours. I don't want to see this mindless slogger get any more games for Pakistan. we should be selecting and grooming proper batsmen instead of sloggers like him.
what kind of message does it send to guys like Fawad Alam and other proper batsmen when we keep playing a guy who has a single digit IQ and has a pathetic batting average? that they can play as hard they want, they can practise as hard as they want but we will still gamble on a long shot like Afridi and never give them a chance no matter what they do in the domestic game? |
