Maybe only Pakistanis version of Islam. Cape Town has a 3 million muslim Malaysian population and most of them own dogs.

The reason I love dogs is because I am muslim and dogs are a beautiful creation of Allah

All creatures are the creation of Allah Taãla and do deserve the recognition of being a creation of the Almighty. As much as Muslims detest even the sight of pigs - it is the creation of Allah Taãla - and because Allah has placed life into it, we cannot inflict pain nor torture the pig.

Similarly Allah Taãla created the dog from among His creation. This does not mean that we should love the dog. It is perhaps the indoctrination of the Western culture that 'The dog is Man's best Friend'. The theory that 'dogs are very dependent on Human affection' is a myth - again culture and custom has helped to develop this unnatural behavior.

Allah Taãla the Creator of this Universe - having created the dog would surely have known that the dog requires Human affection and love to exist in this world. Rasulullah (Sallallaaahu Álayhi Wasallam) would have advised us to keep dogs as pets. On the contrary, we are instructed not to keep dogs as pets and 'love' them as exemplified by the non-Muslims. Remember our life is structured and bound by the Shariah i.e. The Noble Qurãn and the beautiful example of Rasulullah (Sallallaaahu Álayhi Wasallam). Consider these Ahaadith:

Sayyidna Abu Talha (Radhiyallaahu Ánhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallaaahu Álayhi Wasallam) said, "Angels do not enter a house wherein there is a dog or an animate picture. (Sahih Bukhari Hadith no. 2986)

Sayyidna Ibn Abbas (Radhiyallaahu Ánhuma) reports from Sayyidna Maimoona (Radhiyallaahu Ánha) that once Rasulullah (Sallallaaahu Álayhi Wasallam) became sad; and said that Jibra'eel (Álayhis Salaam) promised to meet him at night but did not turn up. "By Allah what has kept him back," said the Prophet (Sallallaaahu Álayhi Wasallam). Then he realised a puppy was under his bed. He ordered that the puppy be removed and the area be sprinkled with water. In the afternoon when Jibra'eel (Álayhi Salaam) came, Rasulullah (Sallallaaahu Álayhi Wasallam) enquired as to the delay. Jibra'eel (Álayhi

Salaam) said that we, the group of Angels do not enter a house wherein there is a dog or pictures. (Sahih Muslim Hadith no.3928)

In the light of these Ahaadith and other narrations it is not permissible to keep dogs as pets. The household is deprived of the Mercy of Allah Taãla.

However, Jurists have stated that it is permissible to keep a dog for security purposes, farming and hunting.

The saliva of a dog is Najis (impure). If it touches the clothes or body, that portion also becomes impure and must be washed. And Allah Ta'ala Knows Best
Not allowed as pets according to this

i reckon it could be real... the top picture is a bit of an optical illusion though... just look how big the man's legs are compared with the rest of him. The dog appears bigger too as it is sat closer to the camera.

The Quran allows us to have dogs as pets

[5]

They consult you concerning what is lawful for them; say, "Lawful for you are all good things, including what trained dogs and falcons catch for you." You train them according to GOD's teachings.

[18:18]

You would think that they were awake, when they were in fact asleep. We turned them to the right side and the left side, while their dog stretched his arms in their midst.

There is nothing wrong with keeping pigs and dogs as pets. They are the wonderful creation of allah and hating or harming these animals is showing disrespect for the wonderful creation of Allah

you cannot EAT a pig. and that is perhaps the only islamic law/rule concerning the animal. They are filthy animals so keeping them would not be a very wise idea, but other than that if someone really wants to, he isn't really 'going to hell' is he?

When a man and a woman kiss they pass a germ througth theor saliva called Cytomegalovirus which is much more dangerous than any germ carried by pets. This germ can kill the baby of a pregnant woman.

So is kissing your wife haram?

hence why Islam orders prayers 5 times a day, for which ablution has to be performed. the methd of Wudhu has been scientifically proven to clean dirt (each washing of the limbs x 3).

to answer your question, it is haram to be unclean, unless it is impossible to do so.

Talking of horses, I am reminded of the following true story:

General Zia ul Haq and General Sawar Khan were crossing a dense jungle and lost their way. They decided to separate and try to find the way out individually. As soon as they parted ways, General Sawar heard a voice: "Sawar, ghore ko le kar aao." (Sawar - which means rider - bring the horse). He dismissed it as his imagination playing tricks on him only to hear again, "Sawar, ghore ko le kar aao."

Freightened, he ran towards the direction Zia ul Haq had gone and told him about the voice. "Nonsense, " said Zia, "come let me show you there's nothing there." A very shaken Sawar Khan reluctantly led a confident Zia ul Haq back to the spot where he had heard the dreaded voice. As soon as they reached there, they heard the voice say this:

"Sawar, maine tumhein ghore ko laane ko kahaa thhaa, tum gadhe ko le aaye ho."
("Sawar, I told you to bring the horse; you have brought a donkey.")
