lol. You dont see wrestlers making their debuts/returns like this in the WWE or TNA anymore.
If some new guy makes a debut like that, he would become an instant star.

Nope. That's not the best return ever. This is...

When I watched this all them years ago live, the original cut showed a bloody HHH trying to use the ropes instead of The Undertaker riding in. They showed HHH's stunned expression as he realised who it was coming down to the ring before we got to see Taker, which I thought was a lot better than this version. The first time we saw 'Taker was when he got off the bike.

He followed it up with this appearance on Raw the next day..

Jericho's return was good, but I think a proper return has to have some action.

Truth just messed up big time on Raw! Did his usual cheap pop- 'Green Bay, Wisconsin! Whassup!'. Unfortunately for him, tonight's show is in Milwaukee, not Green Bay. Silly boy. I think he realised his mistake and it affected him as it looked like he messed up a couple of moves in his match with Mason Ryan.

New promo for 21st February tonight too.

The promos must be for The Undertaker then.

2nd promo..

At the end of the promo, there is a little bit of music. It's an extract from a song by Johnny Cash called 'There ain't no grave... can hold my body down'. Taker's last appearance was when he was buried alive in a grave by Kane. It's got to be him. Also, the jacket shown in the promos is the same as the one Undertaker used to wear in his biker gimmick.

If it's definitely out of them two I think it'll be The Rock. He was in some negotiations with WWE recently.

January 31, 2011, from The official Rock facebook fan page
When asked why he decided to leave WWE and if he's ever coming back, he bluntly states that he will never wrestle again. He does, however, note that he will appear for WWE when the timing is right.

His complete response reads:

Quote:
"...to "the Rock's millions and millions"...who will forever be my family.. ..my honest and direct answer to you is this: I left the WWE because I had succeeded in accomplishing every goal I set to achieve. ...I've never done this before, but I will now because I feel it's important you know..let me share with you the goals I set for myself in the WWE so you can have a better understanding and perspective.. - become the youngest WWE World Champion - help set box office and attendance records in every arena in the country - help set PPV buy rate records ..the final two and my most important goals to achieve in wrestling: - become the most entertaining and electrifying performer the WWE had ever seen or will ever see again - take the brass ring of the WWE that Vince McMahon had faithfully allowed me to earn and take it places it had never gone before...to trailblaze...to break new ground...to achieve unprecedented greatness for not only for myself and the fans to enjoy...but for the business of professional wrestling itself and the WWE... A business and company that is in my blood and that I will love forever. ...I achieved these goals in the WWE at 30 years old and decided then to HUMBLY and QUIETLY step away and retire. ..and set my sights on another goal...a childhood dream...Hollywood. ..will I ever come back to the WWE? of course I will..not a match though, but in a capacity that would allow me to do so much more.. I LOVE that company and the fans...without the two I would not be standing where I am today... Vince and myself stay very closely connected and when the opportunity is right - which will be alot sooner than you think - we will do something electrifying and historic for the fans...he and I were toying with the idea of a special show called "ROCK RAW"... sounds like a perfect title for me to come back and SLAP THE LIPS OFF THOSE JABRONIS and LAYETH THE SMACKETH DOWN ON AAAAALLLLL THEIR CANDY *****!!! sorry...got carried away..I'll save that one of a kind electricity for Rock Raw.. ...it is important to me to say this from my heart - to the incredibly loyal "..The Rock's Millions and Millions..." and the entire WWE UNIVERSE...I am forever humbled and grateful to you for allowing me the HONOR to entertain you over the years...you have my word I will continue to entertain you in ways like no one else...it's only just the beginning... I dream big...and we've achieved those dreams together because you never left my side..I love you for that and thank you... I am Dwayne Johnson...and I will also always be The Rock."

It has to be The Rock.
Who else can it be? Just think about it..

He has been in talks with the WWE since 2008, when his movie Get Smart was released.
And he keeps on saying that he will do something "special" for the fans, and has planed a show dedicated to himself pretty soon called "Rock Raw", which will most likely be the raw before WM or after.
It cant be any other celebrity and definitely not Bieber.

On the other hand, it can also be Shawn Michaels.
The song that plays in the background of 2-21-11 was used to promote his match with Taker last year. So its possible that he restarts his WM feud with Taker and be the guest referee for his match.

I would go with The Rock, but there's a slight chane for HBK as well.

And plus I didnt go to any dirtsheet websites or anything. Just a pure guess.

Following the release of WWE's Fourth Quarter 2010 financial results on Thursday morning, the company also announced it's full-year financial numbers for 2010. Here are some highlights from the WWE press release.

Total revenues for the year ended December 31, 2010 were $477.7 million as compared to $475.2 million in the prior year. Operating income was $82.3 million as compared to $77.1 million in the prior year. Net income was $53.5 million, or $0.71 per share, as compared to $50.3 million, or $0.68 per share, in the prior year. EBITDA was $94.0 million for the current year as compared to $91.6 million in the prior year. Excluding items that impact comparability (discussed above), Adjusted Operating income for the current year was $82.3 million as compared $86.7 million in the prior year. Adjusted Net income was $53.5 million, or $0.71 per share, as compared to $56.1 million, or $0.76 per share, in the prior year. Adjusted EBITDA was $94.0 million for the current year as compared to $101.2 million in the prior year.

Revenues increased 1% led by our WWE Studios segment reflecting the expansion of our release slate and a change in revenue recognition with our revised film distribution model. Growth in Television and Licensing was offset by declines across our other businesses.

Revenues from outside North America increased 6% led by an expansion of our Television and Licensing businesses in our Asia Pacific and Latin American markets, respectively, as well as an approximate $2.5 million favorable impact from changes in foreign exchange rates.

Revenues from our Live and Televised Entertainment businesses were $331.8 million for the current year as compared to $335.0 million in the prior year, a decrease of 1%.

Revenues from our Consumer Products businesses were $97.4 million as compared to $99.7 million in the prior year, a decrease of 2%.

Revenues from our Digital Media related businesses were $28.9 million as compared to $32.8 million in the prior year, a decrease of 12%.

WWE Studios

We recorded revenue from our Studios business of $19.6 million as compared to $7.7 million in the prior year. The increase was primarily driven by the release of our latest films, Legendary and Knucklehead, under our revised film distribution model. This new model entails self-distribution and marketing of our films. Under this new model, we reflect the entirety of a film’s gross receipts and its associated distribution and advertising costs in our results. In addition, this change in the distribution model results in the earlier recognition of revenue and expenses as compared to our previous model. The current year included $8.8 million in revenue and $11.5 million in expenses (including $6.2 million of distribution and advertising costs), resulting in a $2.7 million loss for the films released under the new distribution model.

Profit Contribution (Net revenues less cost of revenues)

Profit contribution decreased to $203.4 million in the current year as compared to $219.3 million in the prior year, reflecting lower revenue from Pay-Per-View, Home Video and Live Events and the recognition of film costs under our new self-distribution model. The resulting changes in business mix, including the increased share of film revenue, contributed to a reduction in gross profit contribution margin to approximately 43% as compared to 46% in the prior year.

Selling, general and administrative expenses

SG&A expenses were $109.4 million for the current year as compared to $127.7 million in the prior year, led by decreases in staff-related expenses, including accrued management incentive compensation and bad debt, as well as lower legal and professional fees. Excluding items that impact comparability (discussed above), Adjusted SG&A expenses were $109.4 million for the current year as compared to $118.1 million in the prior year.

EBITDA

EBITDA for the current year increased to approximately $94.0 million as compared to $91.6 million in the prior year, reflecting SG&A cost savings as described above, partially offset by reduced profits from Pay-Per-View, Home Video, Live Events and WWE Studios. Excluding items that impact comparability (discussed above), Adjusted EBITDA was $94.0 million for the current year as compared to $101.2 million in the prior year.

Investment and Other Income (Expense)

Investment income, net was $2.0 million as compared to $3.1 million in the prior year. Prior year investment income included $1.0 million in realized investment gains as compared to $0.1 million in the current year. Additionally in the current year, increased investment yields offset lower average investment balances. Other expense of $2.1 million in the current year as compared to $0.4 million in the prior year primarily reflects the impact of realized foreign exchange gains and losses and the revaluation of warrants. In the current year, we recorded $1.3 million of foreign exchange losses as compared to gains of $1.5 million in the prior year. In the current year, we recorded a gain of $0.6 million as compared to a loss of $1.0 million in the prior year relating to the revaluation of warrants.

Effective tax rate

The effective tax rate was 35% in the current year as compared to 37% in the prior year. The decrease in tax rate in the current year was primarily driven by increased benefits related to qualified domestic production activities and the recognition of previously unrecognized tax benefits.

Cash Flows

Net cash provided by operating activities was $38.6 million for the year ended December 31, 2010 as compared to $116.4 million in the prior year. This $77.8 million decrease was driven primarily by an increase in feature film investments, changes in WWE’s tax position and working capital. Our cash investment in films increased by $33.5 million, driven by a $30.0 million increase in film production spending and a decrease of $3.5 million in film tax incentives received as compared to the prior year. Also driving a significant change in cash flow from operating activities was a $20.3 million increase in cash paid for taxes due to higher estimated taxable income and an $11.0 million refund received in the prior year. Moreover, the prior year reflected a one-time $13.2 million advance from a business partner. Capital expenditures increased to $11.0 million from $5.4 million in the prior year primarily due to increased investments in television production initiatives.

Triple H Vs Undertaker

Since 2/21/11 isn't Sting...It has to be Undertaker, and Triple H will face him at Mania.

In a Streak vs Career match.

Pretty cool..10 years a go it was HHH Vs Taker at Mania 17..Now 10 years later its same thing, HHH Vs Taker at Mania 27..Only thing is that..This Taker is the deadman not the biker Taker..

"Raw has been on the air now for over eighteen years, and tonight was arguably one of its greatest moments ever!!"--Fink

"Absolutely spectacular Raw moment. He had the live crowd with him every step of the way. That was the hottest promo we've seen on television in years. I could go on and on about how great it was (and I probably will tomorrow in the WWE Raw Hitlist), but I think everyone watching knows how spectacular it was.
All signs point to The Rock getting involved in the Miz and John Cena match at WrestleMania 27 since he mentioned them both by name. I love the way he tore into Cena, but I think we'll see them shaking hands at some point during the WrestleMania 27 show. Even so, it's going to be a really fun ride.
The smartest line of Rock's promo is when he told the fans he wasn't back for the money or to promote a movie. The line about him never leaving WWE sets up some viewers for a big disappointment. Again, though, it's going to be a really fun ride while Rock is around. I'll have more to say about the show on Tuesday in audio. Oh, and by the way, there's an Elimination Chamber pay-per-view on Sunday"---Prowrestling.net

Just watched the clip online, gotta admit, all the talk of the Rock had made me checked. My favourite bit was it doesn't matter what you think to Cole.

Though, what the hell is a host for a pay per view? Does he announce the matches?

Also who is anonymous RAw GM?

Yeah, it's clearly The Undertaker.

When you see the guy's chest, that's 100% The Undertaker. When the camera pans up and you very briefly see the guys face before it fades away- 100% The Undertaker. No doubt.

CM Punk: “Rock owes me fifty bucks for going 20 minutes past the hour, making me miss my valentines day reservations at Nobu.”

Big Show: “Did anyone notice the chill bumps on Rocks arms as he gave his catch phrase? The rock is back!”

Jim Ross: “Got 2 hand it 2 WWE…HBK in HOF, Austin on Tough Enough, Rock to host/star @ WM27…MUCH more on the way. Look out Atlanta!”

Chris Jericho: “Congratulations to one of my favorite opponents and greatest rivals on returning to the WWE. The Rock is the BEST promo man of all time…”

No...YOU are just a 15 year old kid who has Cena as his super-hero. Try asking anyone who has been through the attitude era, and they will tell you EXACTLY why Cena doesn't hold a candle to any of the real WWE greats. Plus Cena is the main reason little kiddies watch WWE these days...damn kids...ruin everything.

Lol. Yes you can call me a hater
He just tries too hard to be Mr. Nice guy--just watch his promo from last nights raw--seemed like he ran out of words, and CM came in to save him.
If WWE hadnt tried to make him Mr.Superman, defeat- all-odds type of wrestler, then I am sure he wouldnt have had that many haters..Just look at his rapper gimmik--he was more over than ever at that time.

True if kids didn't watch WWE, Cena would be fired by now or he would be in the mid card where he belongs.

I stopped following the WWE a few years ago but I know one thing; Cena is one dimensional wannabe who has the backing from the kids and ladies. They've been trying to make him an icon but he doesn't have the 'it' factor. Randy Orton is miles ahead of him.

A lot of people are being harsh on Cena here. You may not be a fan but you can't deny he is not a good "superstar." By that I mean he does put on decent matches and does have charisma. So what if it is kids? Its not like its his choice, its the WWE's and those kids and females fill seats and buy merchandise. You can't just cater to one particular crowd when you put on 4 shows a week.

They did try to make him heel but they saw a sharp drop in merchandise and tickets. So maybe while more males liked him, they didn't really show it by giving their business. In the end, this is a business.

Plus, the attitude era was not always going to last and makes sense. It would dilute it if it just continued that way forever. We remember attitude era because we reminiscence, as there was nothing else. I stopped watching wrestling a while back (keep an eye on it here and there) but if the attitude era was still going on it would have lost meaning.

Cena will never be no Rock or Austin, a lot of guys will never be those two. They were something else. But you can't deny he is good for the WWE.

With all due respect Amir bhai, I have to disagree with that. Most of what you said is true, but Cena can NOT put on a good show.

He has barely 7-8 moves...its always the same...he's down...almost dead...and then suddenly a couple right hands, some shoulder blocks, the five knuckle shuffle and then his finisher...

And I think his character was far more interesting as the rapper. Not the kiddie superhero thing he has going on for the past God knows how many years.

To be fair, I don't hate Cena as much as I hate little kids. They ruin EVERYTHING! Go watch your cartoons! Leave wrestling for the adults!

I mean yesterday when THE ROCK returned, the little kids were actually BOOING him when he started dissing Cena! BOOING THE ROCK?!? I mean come ON!

In fairness, that is what wrestling is. Its how you sell it and get the crowd involved that makes you good. Look at Hulk Hogan, he was nothing really special technically speaking. But he could put on a good match because he could sell it well. Hogan had the same method you listed above. Remember, how he is finished and then they punch him and he stands up shaking his fists and his head. Then points at the guy, clothesline, run toward rope, leg drop...1-2-3. Warrior same deal, except he steamrolled guys.

Wrestlers get into a persona and that is what sells and management milks it as long as they can. Eventually people get tired and then they change it (if you remember with Hogan's switch to NWO, he was actually getting boo'd to the lead up cause people were bored of Red and Yellow). Its just that unfortunately, they can't turn Cena as they would lose a demographic. I wish Cena was a bad guy, he was for a bit and I too liked him more.

Different superstars for different generations. I grew up watching the Rock's promo's and he for one is box-office material. As for John Cena, he just fills a gap in the market in the WWE for aiming specifically at kids and ladies..

For today's generation, CENA is what the ROCK was for our generation but, he certainly does not hold that aura and charisma that previous superstars have had e.g. Austin, Rock, Michaels, Mick Foley, HHH etc..

What matches??? He has about 4 moves and a few punches in EVERY single match. The only good Cena match that I remember was against HBK in WM--only because of HBK. His matches absolutly suck tbh. Charisma? I agree but he tries too hard on the mic

When was this? He was a heel back in 01 when people barely even knew him. He was more of a midcarder, but he eventually won people over and then he started fueding the main evetenters--still wasnt popular enough. Then, he was moved to raw--in 05. Thats when cena took over as WWE's top guy---hasnt been heel since. Its 2011.

Selling? If you call "getting DDT'd on the concrete, then quickly getting back up after 10 secs, and putting a guy in STF and ending up winning the match (and Championship)" then I dont know what have you been watching all along....

If it is true the way you put it, you may have a point.

I am just saying, from what I seen of Cena, he is not THAT bad. He is not big and clumsy like Goldberg for example. I always thought the WM22 main event with HHH (in Chicago) was really good. It went back and forth and the ending was very surprising as I wouldn't think they make HHH tap.

But I do agree, WWE are overkill with the whole superhero thing. I have seen times Cena gets up right away to make it seem like he is super human but that is more WWE than him. They make him out to be like that. If they didn't want him liek that, they would simply push him down the pecking order.

Lol. Because The REAL ECW was broguht back by Paul Heyman and they had this WWE vs ECW matches in the REAL ECW arena on the One Night Stand PPV. The ECW crowd is probably the most hardcore and the most proud crowd of all time. Too bad WWE bought ECW and completely ruined it.

RIP ECW
