My Newbery Krakatoa SPS

It weighs in at 2.11 with 2 grips on with 30-40mm edges and is one of the most responsive bats I have ever used; probably a result of the guy who I bought the bat off doing a great job with a mallet.

Since then the bat has had a fluo pink grip applied. Enjoy the pics!

Welcome to PakPassion brother, I hope you enjoy your stay here!

MashAllah, I must say it is brilliant bat! I have seen few Newbery's and each and every bat is amazing so I'm sure yours would be great too!

Did you get a chance to use it in games and do you know how big are the edges?

The edges are 30+ mm

Haven't used it in a game yet, only nets.
My CA Plus 10000 is the reason why.

Just read the weight again and don't you think 2.11 is a bit heavy? Not sure if you use heavy bats... I have 2.7 and when I first got it I felt it like 2.9!

Wow! So you prefer CA over Newbery?! Not a bad call I would say!

Double grip the bat and pickup will be something you have never felt in your life!

The moulded CA pads?

Have seen a few of them and I must say they are very good pads, one of my club mate (ExtraCoverDrive on PP) would swear by them!

Yes, really light ones.

Yes, they go Rs. 2500 in Pakistan.

Try MB softs some day they are good too!

I did a review on them a while ago so you might want to search for that

I've seen the Bubber Sher softs, didn't like the knee roll.

The next thing on my shopping list are those Boom Boom 5* Pads.
Won't be getting anything else until I get those.

Initially I wasn't really impressed but that's my own mistake. I expected the bat to be ready out the door but after using an old ball on the bat and few minutes of mallet knocking I am starting to feel the power.

The other thing is, the bat is really light. It weighs 2.9lbs but it feels extremely lighter than that.

The pick-up was a bit heavy when I first got it.
Since I added the grip, it feels a whole lot lighter.

Has very very good spine height, very good bat indeed!

One can wonder how good your CA is because it is very very hard to sideline such good bat!

You have double gripped it right >
