quite a few of those AWAY draws were near wins, check the double ton in 1979, 3rd test in 1986 in England. the Aus tour 1986 was similar too, India dominated all 3 tests but they were near misses(due to weather too).

Hayden is a bigger FTB with a similar POOR away record. This thread is filled with a lot of bias vs Sehwag. What about Jayasuriya?
