Before 2006 England tour Kamran was one of the best keeper in the world.. People was crazy about his keeping and batting especially after Mohali test. When his place was 500 % sure in the team he began his dirty work..Anyone seeing Sydney test It is so clear what he has been doing.. If u watch the Watson run out is full prove !

ICC has no prove against KYO Ke DON - "Don Ko Pakarna Mushkil Hi Nahin, Namumkin Hai!"

Guys, Misbah and Afridi are ONLY supporting him as they feel they have no other good keeper...

if they start bashing him they think he might perform even worse (if that was possible)

u will see that after the WC misbah and afridi would be in favor of grooming and/.or selecting a new keeper...

First of all, AWESOME WORK by OP and everyone involved.

Secondly!

Kamran is the worst keeper ever to put on the gloves.
All the catches he has dropped. Makes me

Definitely need him to stop wicket keeping.

After reading this thread, I think there needs to be an official investigation into Kamran for two reasons:

1) How many of those dropped catches were fixed? I find it difficult to believe he dropped them all by accident. Even I wouldn't drop that many, and I hate keeping!

2) What methods has Kamran used to keep his place in the team. I honestly cannot believe that any sane board would continuously select a guy like this so I would like to know if there was any secret ******** deals in the background.

I just pray that he does not drop the World Cup.

Salam abma2k, you should change your avatar picture to Columbo! because this is some real extensive detective work by you

You have to think what Waqar and co. do all day with their laptops? They should be doing what you did. Compile a dossier and throw it at the selectors etc..

Great work!

Adds another one to his keeping "skills"

31.1
Saeed Ajmal to Chanderpaul, no run, regulation miss of a stumping from Kamran. Zipping offie outside off, leads Chanders out and he misses the flick. Kamra had to collect and break the stumps, instead it hit his glove and thudded into his chin.

Actually, Kami is in a catch 22 situation now:

Either he's a really crap Keeper that destroyed Danny Boys Career and gave our quicks (barring Asif) nigtmares

or

He's on the fix.

If you dig deep enough, then Kamran has probably already completed his century.

@Tapori:

Both? The dropped catches vs New Zealand in the World Cup can't have been fixed but the Sydney test was an obvious fix where Kamran destroyed Kaneria.

How many runs did Kamran Akmal Cost us?

I just need a quick favor. I am trying to find the thread where one PPer combined all the runs that Kamran Akmal have cost us behind the wicket. When Kamran Akmal dropped a catch of certain batsman and how many runs that particular batsman made after that opportunity. I am just trying to prove my point to some one but i can't find the thread. I have been looking for it for last 2 hours. Please mods remove this thread after i get the answer. I will really appreciate it.

Kamran: I don't know.

All of the above = an opportunity to bump the thread duly taken.

What did you expect Kamran to say? That I am suspected of match fixing? Or because I have butter fingers? Ofcourse, he gave an answer that gave him the best chance of saving his face?
Was he expecting to be recalled? I don't believe he thought so. And this thread really did not need a bump on this comment of his.

I've just been through the OP again and here's what I've found.

Only once has Kami's keeping arguably cost us a T20. I'm talking about this one:
Quote:
Pakistan in England T20I Series - 1st T20I
83) http://www.espncricinfo.com/england-...iew=commentary
12.2 Yardy was on 13 (Final Score = 35)
Saeed Ajmal to Yardy, 2 runs, dropped by Kamran, tough chance as it flicked the edge, Kamran didn't even get a hand on it, it just flicked the edge and went off his knee
Even this was a tough chance it seems, as he didn't even get a glove on it.

All the other drops in T20s, we have either won the match or the match was already gone. So to repeat...
Kami's keeping has only cost us once in a t20 (Even that is arguable).

Now ask yourself the question, how many times has Kami's batting won us a t20? I can count at least 3. There are probably more.

Conclusion: He's needed for T20s.

Kami's keeping has only cost us once in a t20 (Even that is arguable).

Now ask yourself the question, how many times has Kami's batting won us a t20? I can count at least 3. There are probably more.

Conclusion: He's needed for T20s.
It only takes one match to get knocked out of any tournament.

Maybe we can play him v. Australia and in the T20 Cup and decide after all, is he worth it?

And PS, has he been playing domestic cricket lately.

That's the point. Kami has this horrible knack of dropping the guy who wins the game for the team

I don't say other keepers don't drop them at times, none are as unlucky

Harsh to criticise him for that drop...they either stay in or they don't...if you don't like the guy fine but its stretching to grill him for that drop...

Any other keeper would have his glove in the right position. There was no huge deviation

Plenty of those get 'dropped' by other keepers...its hardly a drop to give him criticism for...Shafiq and Azhar also dropped tough chances today but they wouldn't get stick...

He had a poor day with the bat but he did alright as keeper imo...

Shafiq's chance was pretty hard and like I said before, he is unlucky in this regard. His drops nearly always lose us the match. Asad's cost around 10-15 at most. His cost double that. Also, Asad's was a lot harder, other fielders in our lineup and you wouldn't have known it was a chance

Still Wade also dropped a toughie earlier...and Pattinson did too if I remember right...tough chances you can give someone a pass on...Kami is unlucky that he didn't catch an important one but criticism should be made when he drops sitters which is essentially why we all criticised him in the first place...

Question: If he bats like he did today, and can't take great catches, why is he in team again?

Lol how many runs did Wade make today?...Kami had a decent enough game behind the stumps and is easily our best keeper batsman regardless of one failure...Salman, Sarfraz and Adnan are not as good a bat as he is and I am sure we can all agree on that...the issue has always been his keeping and today it wasn't bad...if he dropped sitters then this would be a reasonable conversation...
