PCB National Talent Hunt to Start 8th June (16 venues)

PCB is launching the Skill Consultant Program throught the country from 8 June 2012. This is first of its kind Talent Hunt Activity being organized by PCB where Sarfraz Nawaz, Abdul Qadir and Ijaz Ahmed are being involved to take trials nationwide to unearth the talented cricketers.

These cricketers will visit 16 cities and pick the talented players of their respective skills and ultimately around 20-25 players will be shortlisted to participate in a 4 weeks Advanced Coaching Camp at NCA, Lahore.


1. Islamabad Diamond Club Ground 8 – 9 June

2. Peshawar Arbab Niaz Stadium 13 – 14 June

3. Chitral Chitral Sports Ground 17 - 18 June

4. Abbottabad RCA Ground 21 – 22 June

5. Mirpur Mirpur Stadium 24 - 25 June

6. Karachi x 2 National stadium 28 June – 01 July

7. Rawalpindi Pindi Stadium 5 – 6 July

Break for Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr

8. Gujranwala Jinnah Stadium 27 – 28 August

9. Faisalabad Iqbal Stadium 30 – 31 August

10. Multan Multan stadium 4 – 5 September

11. Bahawalpur Dring stadium 8 – 9 September

12. Hyderabad Niaz Stadium12 – 13 September

13. Larkana PCB Cricket Ground 15 – 16 September

14. NawabshahShaheed Benazir Bhutto Stadium18 – 19 September

15. Lahore x 2 LCCA Ground 23 – 26 September

16. Quetta*Bugti Stadium 29 – 30 September

Players must show their B-forms / ID Cards for age verification to appear in Trials. the trials will be of above 17 - below 25 years of age of players and the cut off date for the players is between 1 September 1987 to 31 August 1995.

Too aged players. By the time you reach 17 official years, you should be part of any organized cricket. I think, this should have been between 13-17 years.

i agree, probably in the next phase they will go for this age bracket.

or might be they already scouted for under 19 talent by different districts.

Very true, but the way it works in Pakistan is that there are a lot of kids out there with a lot of talent who have not been signed up by any clubs.

It's those kids that the PCB are hoping to "capture".

Fantastic move by the PCB. Pakistan has masses of talent, Imran Khan believes more than any other nation. Fingers crossed we find a new Wasim, Amir or Inzy.

Hope some serious fast bowling talent is found, a decent opener, and a wicketkeeper. But a 90mph, tearaway express fast bowler is needed, cannot stand any more 80mph trundlers.

Pakistanis cannot participate if someone is born abroad.

But if they are now a Pakistani national then they can participate

The key is you need a national ID card etc for information and verification.
