Euro 2012 : Predict the Leading Goalscorer

An abundance of talent will be on display, but who do you think will be the leading goalscorer at Euro 2012?

Would normally have picked Villa BUT unfortunately he is injured

Gomez will be given plenty of chances BUT I suspect he will repeat his semi and final CL performance

Tough pick between RVP, Benzema and Klose

Think I will go with the heart as well and pick Benzema

Van Persie. Best striker in the Prem last season and Holland are looking good for the latter stages. Put your house on it.

Hmm, Would be disappointed if he fail to deliver, he is IMO the best pure striker in world right now.

Robin Van Persie cause I am a Netherlands supporter for this tournament. I think he'll put on a show and go on a goal scoring spree.

Other than him, you can't go wrong with Klose.

Would have been Rooney if he played the first two matches, still think he will bang in the goals and might even still win the golden boot but have to go with Ronaldo for this one, has to perform and shut his haters up.

Van Persie.

Seems to be in hot goal scoring form in the pre-friendly games, however there's a doubt whether he will be a start at the Euros.

It depends if they want a poacher in Huntelaar instead of RVP.

It could be anyone from one of the top teams, probably Gomez or Van Persie although I'm yet to see either deliver for their national teams in a tournament. Will Gomez even get the nod ahead of Klose, who takes to International football like a duck to water.

If France progress, I suspect Benzema to have made a valuable contribution, after all, I do believe he is the most gifted of all the strikers on show here.

Tough to call...I'm going to be different and go for Robert Lewandowski.

it cant be Gomez certainly if I am watching Germany's matches!

I have never seen Gomez score live and I do watch Germany and Bayern from time to time. Even in the matches he has scored I end up missing the part he scored in for eg the UCL semi this year!

So ill go with Klose!

Van Persie was my choice. The way the Dutch play ensures that Robin will have a lot of the ball, and I'm tipping them to have a very good tournament indeed.

Are people who voted for Torres before the Spanish decision to play with no strikers/after his misses allowed to change their vote ?

Bendtner is doing good, i hope they draw with Germany and Netherlands beat Portugal by one goal so that Denmark and Germany go through.

Then Bendtner and Gomez will have more chances. Gomez in particular looks stunning. Alright he's playing for selfless German midfielders and forwards but still the goals were quite good. He seized the opportunities he got. Thats what goal scoring is all about. That's how the original Ronaldo did it, Klose did it and now Gomez.
