I agree with cricketworm. I wasn't that serious about going with the same team. The right option is to go with zubair. Other than that keep the same order I think. Not just saying that because I did well

^ It is true. BoomboomAS and A-Khan.

Anyway, two wins and we're back on track. It's next to impossible to win the FC champ from here but we're in a good position to get into the final of the OD comp.

Anything but Normal!

I think they won every single Normal match, I think their batting is very heavy just like us. I think they have won only one game in Poor, lost rest of the poor pitch games. And won few in Excellent and lost few.

I would go with poor, HOWEVER, poor pitch isn't our strength either. What do you think?

I agree with cricketworm and decided not to go with the normal pitch. I was thinking of going with a Poor pitch but then I realized how horrid we are on poor pitches. We barely managed to score over 200 in both innings against the CA who have a fair attack. I think the DD have a better bowling unit and I think its better to play our chances on an excellent pitch - we beat them before on it as well.

Ok fellas time to get this thread active again.

Our match after this ODI is going to be a best of 3 against the CA. Since we're the no. 1 team, we're going to have to choose the pitches twice. Also, lets discuss any other strategies we may need in advance. The reason I'm doing this early is because I want to get everyone's feedback because after all, it is the championship series!!

So:

Round 3 FC - Loss
Round 5 ODI - Won
Round 10 ODI - Loss
Round 12 FC - Loss

In ODIs, it's fairly even *1-1

Yea I think so. The rules state that in the case that if there is no pitch selected, then there will be a random pitch chosen. I'm guessing the number 1 team gets to select the pitch twice which would make sense in a Best of 3.

Maybe Rizzy can clarify.

We can't go for Poor that's for sure. Either Normal or Excellent.

Another thing is we can't really change the side as well. We can change batting order only, if we want to, but I am not sure if we need to do that. I doubt CA made any changes to their side either.

Yea I agree. I'd like to go for the same side and I also agree on the pitches. Normal or Excellent for the win.

I think our Excellent W/L ratio greatly exceeds our Normal W/L ratio. Our Normal W/L ratio might even be below 1

This is what it says at the bottom of the Fixtures thread:

All teams named first are home teams except for T20 Third Place Playoff, T20 Final and OD Competition Final 3 with these being played at neutral venues.

IF we have a third final (there won't be a third final if one of the teams is winning 2-0 after the first 2 matches), the pitch will be selected by a neutral party.

So, no one will select the pitch from the 2 parties competing for the title but rather it will be a 3rd party? Do we have selection over the 3rd party or is that determined randomly as well?

Only the third final, if we have one. The first match, the team that finished first in the league, most likely Cats, will select the pitch. In the second match, the team that finished second in the league, most likely Assassins, will select the pitch. If it's 1-1 after the first 2 finals, only then will we have the third final, which a neutral 3rd party will select the pitch. Who that 3rd party is, it's yet to be decided.

I'd recommend wearing a warm jacket at least, you know how unpredictable the British weather is. You don't want to get a cold before the finals.

It's been very good season for me as a batsman! but If I don't bat well in the final, it's pointless!

It's been excellent season for our bowlers in ODIs, we must give final push! We have the momentum, and I think we can beat CA on kind of pitch now.

I plan on offering Square Drive a lucrative contract during the off-season. Will he take his talents to the Jungle Kingdom?

Why would anyone trust psycho people? They have tendency to assassinate themselves! And besides Square Drive is cat person! He would be even happy with D contract and Cat player. How can you resist cute and cuddly Cats?

We are one happy family. Unlike psychos!

Talha3, Cricketworm, and me are guaranteed high contracts (As and Bs)

Going by the current system, 3 out of the 5 spots will be taken. Its tough but I can also offer a B contract.

Depends if Rizzy allows and if he says yes, then I'd put up a vote where we'd need at least 80% of the vote in favor

80%? How did you come to that figure?

I don't think Rizzy would allow it but we can ask him.

Assuming 5 people vote (Me, you, cricketworm, Badsha, Shahrukh) then 4 yeses vs 1 no would seem fair

Yea I agree Rizzy wouldn't allow it either. Big Cats isn't too bad and we already have a cool logo

Not a bad idea shahrukh but the rules say the team name can't resemble any real life team or people.

in the next season, we have to make sure we have got a good bowling line up for back up.

Teesra, whats your say on Allrounders? Should we take a risk and go for them? They could prove to be very valuable sometimes, and we could have a 6th bowler as a back up?

As of now, I'm not going for Batting All-rounders or Pure-All-rounders because the risk of their bowling outweighs the gains of batting.

Bowling All-rounders maybe. Insaniyaat had his moments
