United are a disgrace, Throwing £35mill on a 19 year old like Moura
Inflating the market.

What ever we pay for players, the money comes out of the clubs pockets not the owners pockets, like most clubs are doing.

personally i dont have a problem with the glazers. they have always given fergie money to spend. about 50m pounds last year and then there was berbatov tevez in 2008 and 09, evra vidic anderson nani back in 2006. and this year the fact that fergie made a bid for hazard and are going after moura and baines (and hopefully RVP) shows that money isnt really an issue
and we have won 4 premier league titles and the champions league under them.
the debt will be wiped out after 2014 i think. i read it somewhere

That would be an amazing buy. With a Sahin and Kagawa partnership - just like there was at Dortmund, United have a chance to win everything next season

I was at the match today.

And Yeah Kagawa, Rooney was good.

Welbeck was good aswell, but wasted to much.

Nani was bad and it looks like the Possible transfer of Lucas is getting into his mind.

only problem for UTD this yr looks like thr defense, vidic is back but think he may be injury prone now/looks even slower,
Rio is injured alot,
evra lost his pace aswell,
Jones looks very good but i prefer the guy at right back considering how good he can run wtih ball.
smalling still looks unconvincing neither a centre back - lacks tackling/right back.
Hope De Gea played like how he did last 4 months of last season, was very good

Hows fletcher doing? UT D miss this guy

Well we are closing in on RVP and were on Lucas until it got stolen by a multi billionaire just on the last minute like the Hazard deal. However there is still hope if Lucas doesn't want to go that trash club and some Twitter rumors saying we are still Favorites to sign him.

As for Moutinho or Sahin, if fergie wanted them, we will get them.

if david gill keeps on saying we have the money, what harm is there in paing a couple of million extra in transfer fee or to agents to get our man? This is pathetic
If barca play a full strength side tonight, expect to see a rerun of the UCL final 2011.
It is despicable how the glazers and gill are ruining fergies last years. having said that fergie has to be blamed. Just look at our midfield, it is bordering pathetic. Imagine phil jones/37-year-old-scholes/giggs( and )partnering carrick. we were outplayed in the middle by newcastle, bilbao etc and every other team with an average midfield last season. rest of the team is fine except for a left back and we are spending all our energy on RVP or moura, who lets face it, we dont really need considering we have valenica, nani, kagawa, young, welbeck,hernandez......these 2 are luxury signings.
I really hope we do get a good midfielder, a world class one or cleverly comes good because at the moment arsenal have had a better transfer window....and that is unthinkable..... look at the midfields of city, arsenal, chelsea, tottenham, newcastle and even liverpool...they are miles better than ours...lets forget about catching up with real barca bayern and juventus at the moment...they are light years ahead of us

Man United waiting on RVP
Ferguson says Arsenal are 'not giving anything away'

"We have made a bid and they (Arsenal) have been trying to negotiate with other clubs. We just have to persevere.

"Hopefully it will come our way. We are trying our best but there is no progress at this moment in time.

"I do not have a gut feeling on it at the moment, I must admit. We are not getting any breakthrough with Arsenal.

"It is difficult to say why they are operating this way. I do not know what their thoughts are because they are not giving anything away."

The Scot said: "I find it quite amazing that a club can pay €45million for a 19-year-old boy."

Ferguson continued: "To make a mark on everyone - to tell everyone that PSG are here - they have signed Thiago Silva from Milan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

"They must have spent about £150m in the last month. As you know, the only deterrent to that is UEFA.

"In the conditions of European football, you don't qualify for Europe by winning the league or coming second - you only get in by invitation.

"That's where, hopefully, UEFA can have some power. When somebody's paying £45m for a 19-year-old boy you have to say the game's gone mad."

best option for RVP to join UTD, hopefully he can stay fit like last season.

Agree with fergie also on PSG matter, Fiffa need to bring in financial fair play rule for every country, its being tested on coca cola league - they like it, maybe be in EPL in few yrs time,

Italians/germans have had it since late 70's i believe, its best way to bring down prices/ wages down - also makes the gap from top teams to lower sides alot less, more loyalty from players

It was a fair price, Rooney was being made out as the next big thing in English history and £25m was a good price considering Carol went for £35m, Bent £25m, Downing £20, Johnson £18m.

Lucas on the other hand is unproven and Fergie was happy to give him £28m but anything over £30m would have been a risk and nuts and we might as well have gone all out for Hazard than.

Our first big signing since ronaldo left. I have that excitement like the time we signed tevez, rooney, ronaldo,Van nistelrooy......the last three years united have been really quiet but FINALLY..... if berba leaves i think he will get no.9

i would like this starting XI 4-2-3-1/4-4-2

_______Van Persie_________
Kagawa__Rooney___Nani
___Cleverly______Carrick______
Evra________________Valencia
_____F'nand_____Vidic_________
_________De Gea__________

Rooney, kagawa, nani and RVP can swap positions in a fluid attack...with the added bonus of valencia bombing forwards from right back with those crosses

Should be a fun season.

Imagine the likes of Chicharito, Berbatov and Giggs coming off the bench.

Clearly this will be a two-horse race between Man U and Man C

But, with RVP I can see them turning those draws/losses they had last season into victories

I hate Man U with a passion (cannot stand Fergie/Rooney/Ferdinand) but, credit where credit is due they took Man C to the last game and last minute last season and mean business

The less said about Liverpool the better

United still has no midfield .. so what else is new

I think Alex instead of buying more and more attacking players should get guys who can help his team retain more possession.

If you control the ball guys like Fellaini will never hurt you.

Everyone laughs until we are closing in on another title at the end of the season.

Yes, our tactical approach will have to be altered though.

negatives: rooney, nani, evra, welbeck and an afraid-to-tackle-and-win-the-ball midfield
positives, david de gea, kagawa....thats about it
kagawa and cleverly linked up well to create the chances but the strikers were woeful both rooney and welbeck. rooney needs to pick up his game. looks like all the booze and cigarettes are finally getting to him. nani had a very poor game. if you want 100,000 pounds/week atleast deliver one telling cross
every time everton had a ball, it seemed like none of the united players wanted to press and get the ball back like keane or hargreaves....
evra and why no earth was carrick marking fellaini???? surely vidic should have done it considering he is good in the air.

and what really is wrong with fergie?? theres a glaring hole in the middle of the pitch needing to be filled, and he isnt doing it.
yaya toure must be licking his lips at the prospect of playing this Midfield.

Four CB's injured before the ball has even been kicked, that's just our luck.

Buttner completes his move. Not too thrilled at us competing with Southampton in the market.

Just a cover for Evra till Fabio returns BUT he does seem talented in attack, not sure about his defending.

The Dutch press are bamboozled as he isn't rated very highly back where he comes from, hopefully he will improve at United.

Mancini the jinxer does it again. As soon as all of the defenders heal, there will be no stopping United.

Without a quality CM by the end of the transfer window, chances of winning against the likes of Madrid and Barcelona look bleak.
