PTI now the second biggest political party in the world?

Following the unprecedented membership drive which was launched a couple of months ago, we've hit 7000,000+ members...apparently that's second only to the Communist Party of China in terms of the biggest political party...

Tabdeeli aa nahi rahi...TABDEELI AAAGAYE HAI! For the Quaid(ra) and Iqbal(ra)'s Pakistan, not the corrupt, Ghaddars, Provincial, linguistic, ethnic Pakistan!

The Communist Party of China have over 80 million members (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-13901509). If PTI have 7 million then they can't be second, can they ?

As I said before, I hope thy can turn these into votes.

Right now a large number of people are in this membership count who are not even registered to vote.

I know 8 PTI members personally and only 1 is registered to vote in 2013

Yeah I know, I'm not sure what the actual statistics are regarding world parties and their membership #s, which is why I put the question mark in the title. I got this from a official PTI page...if more (specific) info comes to light, then we'll be a little more clearer.

Regarding the point of registering to actually be eligible to vote, yes that is an issue too, but we've also been concentrating in that aspect too on social media, making it clear you mut register. Have you told your friends to actully register/do that have the intention to do so PakPrince?

Good stuff.

I would be very interested to find out the number of members in the rural areas of pakistan, since that is a high impact voter base

Is this for real?

Think of political parties in India, they are no doubt in 10-20 Millions + then in US, there are only 2 major parties, with probably memberships that are in that range too.

Either this is satirical fact, or someone truly can't count.

Our people only vote for those that build roads, if Imran wants to win, he needs to stop making hospitals and invest in roads :nawazsharif

This makes no sense at all.

You can get 70 million folks registered as well. That's not what it is all about. There shouldn't be any favoritism. In fact this is a very dangerous trend and one that will ruin all that Imran is trying to do. Public is supposed to be neutral, listen to what each party has to say and then give it's vote to whoever they think is best.

People are freaking lazy.. And of course there are the burgers who consider it to be beneath them to go to polling station and rub shoulders with laborers etc in order to vote

Registering as a PTI member over a text msg is much easier

PTI has little chance of winning Karachi. This is the ground situation here, I live here, I know. It has little chance of winning Interior Sind, Zardari's landlord minions own the lands those people have their homes on, they can't not vote for them.

PTI membership in Pakistan has now exceeded 1 Crore (10 Million) members making it the largest political party in Pakistan. This is great news for PTI and its supports but the job is only half done.
We have to insure that these members turn into voters on election day. PPP won with approx. 10.5 million votes in previous election. Now add to that the massive voter fraud and we can see who can truly sweep next general election.

To put things in perspective, consider this. Karachi had more seats than any other city in the national and provincial legislatures, and a total of 6.6 million registered voters. Only 3.9 million could be verified. A glaring 2.7 million entries had been FAKE.
Similarly, Lahore, Pakistan’s second largest city and capital of most populous province Punjab, had a total of 3.7 million registered voters. Among them 2.1 million have been declared genuine and the remaining 1.6 million could not be verified.
