I gotta hand it over to Australians though.

They may be losing wickets but RR is respectable and above 3 per over.

If it was Pakistan we would be 80/5 after 60 overs.

.... And Cook and co made Ashwin their personal whipping boy.

Come on. How do you bat so badly as to allow him five straight wickets?

I say we make all the pitches in England dry spinners for the Ashes, and let Swanny and Monty have a go at this rate.

That is the key , Aussies know they will get out sooner or later , need to make most and get runs on the board. Runs on the board can be vital.

That's what you did at The Oval in 2009, and it's a much better bet than a green seamer with Anderson and Broad both averaging on the wrong side of the 30s in spite of bowling in those conditions with a new red Duke 75% of the time.

Spinners ftw.

Broad would be a nightmare. You never know which one will turn up.

Anderson will be the best bowler on show, he has been for the past few years from the England side, and only the Saffa bowlers have been better..

Dunno how Finn will do. But overall, a poor Broad makes the entire bowling side equivalent to the Aussies who have some fine quicks.

Yeah, we were horrid the first test. But not to Ashwin.

I have no problems losing to India in the first test due to spin.

It's Ashwin I absolutely loathe, who shouldn't be a first pick spinner.
