Najaf Shah

Why Najaf Shah is not in the squad, despite the fact performing consistently he has not been given an opportunity to represent Pakistan. What more he has to do? He had another good game today taking 3-33 in 10 overs when other got smashed around.

He is the best left hander we have in the country right now. He is tall and gets swing and bounce coupled with good action.

Bob indicated that Najaf Shah was just on the fringes of making it to the national team but I guess he stayed on fringes.

not true. if a player is performing well, but is detrimental to the team's spirit, then there is no need for such a player. most of the times, players this young with attitude problesm do tend to screw over the team and themselves.

besides, i would like to see one of irshad, yasir ali, yasir arafat, anwer ali or akhtar ayub given a chance before. akhtar ayub in particular looks a great bet.

Well I have seen him bowl HE is up in the high 80s I think . He is been said the best left hander we have in Pakitan swings the ball . Well Khalil was selected on merit . He and Abdul Rauf were the highest wicket takers in the domestic circuit. Abdul Rauf is also a very good bowler . HEs got a butiful inswinger and outswinger and also pretty fast too . Well I think Yasir Ali has a dodgy action

That's OLD NEWS, he modified his action and now have a completely legal action with the same speed

BTW, Khalil was never picked on merit; take a look at this article of mine

In fact, I will bump it for you

Najaf bowls as many overs as anybody in domestic so I am not too sure about questions over attitude.

He's got some attributes and we should be looking at him as a long-term prospect.

Well I think he is very very agressive bowler the Reason!!!. I remember him bowling at the English Batsman in Pindi and he was constantly going up to them and giving them a stare and some sledging too unlike Nel he just goes over the board !!. The Instance which I liked the most was when he got the wicket of vaughan LBW even after getting him out he was just staring at him and just staring and pumping his fist even when mobbed by the team mates he was still staring Well that was What I like about the Quikcies Even after they get the wicket . They make the Batsman think it was absolute sin to come to bat agaisnt them

Well as I have already posted about Najaf and he was pretty quick too I think in the high 80s . I think he is quite quicker then this Munaf guy and the agression and the hunger for wikcets was something I loved the most. Well Yasir Ali is quick even quicker then when he played against banglas wasnt impressed what I saw of arafat Imran tahir was good . Well what I saw of Irshad he is no way quicker then Shoaib or Lee . I might even say he isnt like what he had sami when he started . Better then sami of today (in terms of pace). He was a lot quicker with his older action dont like his new action at all. I think Aqib gets his inspiration from India that is Why he is just killing pace in pak

I think the main reason why he hasn't quite broken into the national squad is that there has been plenty of competition in the fast bowling with Akhtar, Sami, Rana, Asif, Gul, Arafat, Razzaq all in the mix.

Hes had a good domestic season so it might just be a matter of time 'till we see him in Pak colours

come to think of it we dont need a left arm spinner we need a left arm pacer and najaf is surely the right man for the job...........i smell some politics in this one peeps.!

Well I think you cant take a pace bowler to Sril lanks or India for a debut that would be too harsh for him and also Fans like us would just bash at him when he wont be as effective on the dust bowls I wasnt impressed of Asif when he played in Lahore I just thought , Well we have got another Rao Iftikhaar . But when he got a good sporting wicket we saw what is he capable of , so in my opinion it is just not appropriate to debue a pacer on a flat or slow turning tracks and against a side that is good batting at home . Would love to see him in England though!!
