Congratulations Pakistan for winning the ODI series

After 4-1 loss we are back again
First West Indies, than India and now Sri Lanka all of them away from home
Next target is England

Well done boys

congrats to them indeed, but they must rember that the main thing is to win the test series. Winning the odi series means absolutely nothing in comparison, and in fact i dont see the point in a 3 match odi series. , lets hope they dont relax like they did after winning the one day series in the west indies. The test is ALL that matters.

Hein , why you want 101 useless ODIs instead, before the tests; in fact, I think 3 is more than enough ODIs in a series

Tests series is obviously our main target

Naz- this thread is not about which is more important. This thread is about congratulating Pakistan for winning the ODI series so why not leave it at that? When we win an ODI series 'it aint important' but when we lose one people start acting as if the players have all on mass committed capital crimes and cardinal sins.

Anyway, congratulations to Pakistan. Simply too good for Sri Lanka.

A win is a win!!! Great ODI wins away from home. Thats something like we've won the last 10 straight away from home. Good thing the World Cup next year isn't in Pakistan

How many trophies is that under Woolmer now?

I still remember the 'we haven't won anything under him' excuse that the bashers use to use

so I am right. We didn't celebrate this win?? It is still a odi series win. Why doesn't it mater?

I know there key players were injuried but still a win is a win. Have we switched from being odi crazy to test crazy???

Complacency from Pak fans perhaps.

We beat Sri Lanka 2-0 oh wow !

However I think we should be very pleased with the victory. Despite the fact that the Lankans were missing a couple of big players, their home record speaks for itself.

Great win. Solid performance and a push now towards the test series. I follow every match we play with the same enthusiasm and faith. True I tend to favor test matches but every match is equally important to me. Such is the pride and the curse of the true fan.

go pak!

well even though we won ( yay!) the matches were too exciting.
sri lanka has a better shot at winning the tests, they have murali and better pitches.
kineria took 7 wickets off them in 04 but murali was unfit then...
still, hopefully we'll win inshaAllah.
let's see

Great team effort but c'mon, the matches weren't exactly crackling or red hot.. I guess it really only matters if you win at the end of the day but there have been better matches. =) Good job by Pakistan though, they need to keep their focus on the test series as well.

I think the main reasons why we didn't 'celebrate' as much this time around was that it was only a 3 match series, with one match not even producing a result. Also, considering the progress of our ODI team over the last year or two, we were expected to win the series (by our own standards) and we did--so no real suprises there.

The test series will produce more excitement from us fans - we've been in good form lately

What worries me is that if Pakistan had lost the series, numerous threads/posts would have been made to express their dissapointment - some would have been calling for heads to roll.

CONGRATZ TEAM PAK. You have achieved what many sides struggle to do, that is beating Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka. InshahAllah, you will be victorious in the test matches too.
