Inzi Bashers Give It A Rest!

When Inzi first became skipper i wasnt impressed, i and a lot of other people were lambasting him. Credit to Saj and a few others who stuck their neck out and said he will do okay in the long run.

Then for me he not only gained the respect of a fickle fan like me but more more importantly the teams respect after the indian tour. We came back to draw the test series without Shoaib or Shabbir on the back of great batting from Inzi and Younis. We won the ODI series again Inzi was a consistent performer in that series.

We've had a awesome home season in recent memory against quality opposition with Inzi leading by example in scoring about 600 runs. Ok we lost badly to India in the ODIs but what Inzi and the Bob and to be fair the whole team have shown recently is that they have learnt to come back strongly after a defeat.

So why on earth are we clamouring for his dismissal as captain from the ODI team? Give the guy a break and dont be so fickle as fans. Yes we can improve in lots of areas but look at how much we have improved since the 2003 world cup.

Bravo Bravo, nice post...exactly my sentiments

Now switching to some known Inzi Basher's Mode:

"Oh come on, the guy is fat, I mean F.A.T.

cannot speak proper english

is known to always eat his biryani before going to bat

has so many lassi makers in the side that it looks like a 'Lassi Market from Bhaati lohari'

He doesn't bring the seamers back for a kill in the middle overs or once an opposition is down in the dumps

THEN WHEN DOES EXACTLY THAT like Last Night (Oh he didn't allow Malik to bowl till the 44th over, this is an outburst)

oh he doesn't show enough emotion

then when he did just that (after he got run out in a test against England by pointing to Rana in frustration) OH how dare he does that, he took Rana's patloon off in public, he didn't allow Rana to score a 50

he is mean

has the ego the size of an elephant, ......

My thoughts are exactly the same. Inzi has given so much to Pakistan cricket.

Alot of people believe he is a bad captain. I don't agree. A captains job is not only on the field of play, and that is where Inzi has done wonders to the team (along with Woolmer). He has also (in patches) shown that he can be a pro-active captain on the field. He needs to do more of that.

Inzi is immortal for all true pak fans, and we hope he never gets the same treatment as the indian crowds treat their legends, our crowds love him to bits and go through the rough and smooth with him. Their is no better sight in cricket than watching inzi and lara bat. Their is a certain love for inzi that just always overlooks his shortcomings, he has done that much for pakistan. And such a humble man himself, a real real sad day for world cricket when he leaves cricket, but their is a long time yet.

Inzy is a quality player and has been a great servant to Pakistani cricket. Rarely have I seen a batsman play against us whose wicket was so hard to snare! There are question marks over his captaincy, as a neutral I'd like to see how Younis Khan handles the one day side on a full time basis because he acts more quickly and is more pro-active than Inzy. Pakistan are one of my favourite one day teams to watch and thats my opinion on the ODI captaincy.

But Inzy deserves more time with the test captaincy, look at how inspirational he has been especially against England. We tried everything to get him out, he stood up against it, and even if we managed it, it was only after he had hit at least fifty runs, or if we got him out via controversial methods involving his stumps

I feel there are still some twists in Inzys career to come yet.

Muyazzim Khan top post

Sadlt ppl will continue to bash him for whatever reason - there will always be people who are not happy regardless with what you do, its human nature

I for one am happy with the job Inzy is doing, granted its not perfect BUT he is still doing an admirable job! I mean look at the team unity, this is the most UNITED pakistan team i have seen since i have been following cricket, im sure the older posters who have followed cricket a lot longer would agree it is the up there with Imrans in terms of Unity if not better

i personally think inzi is not captain material but he in a way makes up for that in the way gets respect from all the players, when he does his interviews he starts in the name of god and has united the team like no other captain has
i am sure lotts of other guys here agree with me
make constructive critisisim but dont take the mick
