As soon as we reach number two the team comes back crashing down to 5 or 6, its the same with most of the teams that number 2 is jinxed I tell you.

Any team ranked from 2-6 can beat each other on any given day. England /west indies at 7/8 lack consistancy. The 1st group of sides i mentioned can go up and down like yoyos in rankings.

It's good to see Pakistan in the 3rd spot again and most importantly ahead of India. Now lets aim for the no 1 spot.

The fact that India - who have been in very good LOI form - have just lost to the number 8 ranked team, indicates that not much separates the main LOIs sides at the moment.

Even Australia are no longer as far ahaed as they used to be.

All of which means next year's World Cup, once it gets to the super 8 stage, could be very interesting.

Agree ggm.

Ultimately in ODI cricket form fluctuates over the year. A side will be very good for a few months and then go through a lean patch for a bit. This World Cup is going to be the most even one in a very long time. The side which peaks at the right time will win it!

Congrats to Pak. But I don't read much into these ratings. A couple of good series can take you upto number two and few series losses can drop you down to any level. It's pretty volatile at the moment. Probably suggesting not many teams are consistent at the moment.
