Vaughan suffers new knee setback (BBC Sport)

New concerns have emerged about Michael Vaughan after soreness in his right knee prevented him fielding for the second day running.

The England captain has been working his way back after returning home early from the tour of India in February because of trouble with the same knee.

That came after he left the Pakistan tour to have surgery on it in December.

But although he batted in Yorkshire's current game with Sussex, he has been unable to take part since then.

England were hoping Vaughan might be able to play some part in the ongoing one-day series with Sri Lanka but that now looks unlikely.

Vaughan will miss Sunday's C&G Trophy game against Worcestershire and the opening Twenty20 game with Durham on Tuesday.

He has played in three Championship games for his county, including the current one against Sussex at Arundel, and two C&G Trophy games in the last month.

But he has also had to sit out several games as a precaution and must also be doubtful for the Test series against Pakistan, which starts on 13 July at Lord's.

So hold on a minute, Vaughan has now had another setback, possibly delaying his return to the team even more further. England are now definitely without Vaughan, Anderson, Jones, and Giles. Their has been no further news on Flintoff as yet, meaning he could potentially make it for the 1st test against Pakistan.

Does anyone think that since England won the Ashes, that some sort of kalaa jadoo has happened to them and they are falling like ten-pins. Maybe them doing the parade in London and knighted must have upset a few people.

By the way I reckon that Steven Gerrard (Liverpool FC captain fantastic) deserves a knighthood in comparison to someone like Bell or Collingwood who are one-match wonders.

Any views on this unfortunate news for England fans.
