Australia have led for quite a while at the wrong place. But overall, the rankings are good. But yes, Sri Lanka is quite low for ODI.

England is way too high for test, so is Pakistan even though I am happy to see they are number 2.

What is there point system based on, and what are the logisitics, and what is it actually. I mean why is Pak's rating 120, and Aussies 130?

Why such high numbers, and not lower, and not in the 1000s?

if u look on icc site u can find it.
points are in thousands but they then divide by number of games to get the average points.

Sri Lanka are low considering the fact that they just smashed England 5-0.

If England beat Pakistan in the ODI series it would be like, the best thing ever. Well of course I would rather win the test series, but in terms of sheer surprise (and the fact I also come on a Pakistani cricket forum) it would be be up there.

Actually, on risk of getting scalped by the rest of you...I still do think that for my continued viewing pleasure, England definitely have to get some kinda fillip.
Regardless of form, England do put in their hearts when they play the Aussies. And if England are already down and out before the ashes, I see a pretty boring month.

Note that this is just the POV of a neutral. And the fact that Pakistan are missing so many of the guys I love to watch play.

I agree. If England takes ODIs in the same way that they do Tests, they would be up there next to Australia. But right now they prefer getting beaten - may be B'desh finally has a chance
