Rana is targeting comeback for ODI's

Just heard on GEO program of SCORE that Rana is back in Lahore academy working out on his comeback. He didnt say anything about the surgery, but the host said that he is targeting his come back in ODI's. Atleast we can have him back in ODI's where he most usefull bowler is.
It was on GEO so no link for the news.

Who cares about the ODIs? If he's not fit enough for the tests, he can have some extra rest during the Mickey mouse games too...

That's really great to hear because he's a great ODI bowler and can certainly be used.

The test series is the main prize - if he's not fit for those, why is he dreaming of the ODI series?

He needs to get fit for thw winter series late 2006/early 2007....not worry about 5 exhibition games!

No point trusting these sources anymore. One minute he will be ready the next minute he can't make it as has happened with numerous players.

Rana is better in odis than tests but still disappointed that we couldn't have our pace attack for the test matches

We are going to beat England in ODI's anyways so Rana can have some rest to prepare for the Champions Trophy, Windies series, and the WC 2007.

see if we beat sri lanka 2-0 in the odis and sri lanka beat england 5-0 then i don't see why we shouldn't beat them 5-0

Though I agree Test is more important then Onedays but we have to realize that Oneday is important as well. We should not start think ing the way English people does. We need to win both series.
If rana is FULLY fit he should be playing onedays in England

Onedays is very unpridictable. One Good spell of bowling or Good inning by a batsman can win the game. We should not expect to beat england 5-0 THOUGH it would be awesome if we achieve that.
I wil be happy if we win the test series and win oneday even by margin of 3-2

You're right Easa - 12th man needs to be a batsman too!

Agree not much point in only playing the ODIs. If he sits them out it will give us more of an opportunity to try a few combinations and experiment a bit for the WC.

If they aren't going to make it for test matches then they shouldn't play in the odis because they got the champions trophy coming up
