Cheer Up guys - we have an AWESOME ODI squad !!!

Getting back to the form of cricket we specialize in - we have an absolutely scary ODI team !!

Complete with 3 of the best fast bowlers in the world (Shoaib, Asif, Rana), four hard hitting all rounders (Malik, Hafeez, Afridi, Razzaq) who can also bowl tight and pick up key wickets and finally the best middle order in the world (Inzi, Moyo, YK)

This team is just awsome batting wise - it hits hard all the way down to 10 - there is no way it should not be putting up 300 runs every match.

This would be my 11 for the first ODI

Malik (Should be healthy by then)
Hafeez (Superb opening batting from him in Ozz)
YK
Moyo
Inzi
Afridi (expect him to be back in ODI MAULING form)
Razzaq (same as above)
Akmal (hope he finds his way by the ODI series)
Shoaib (lately he has been as fierce as Afridi with the bat)
Rana (best bowler in england - sadly if he is not healthy i would go with Arafat)

I am backing our team to beat the poms comprehensively in ODIs...may be a 4-1

No space for Afridi in my one day squad unless the coach and captain are willing to play him at number six atleast.

they still have to play as a cohesive unit and play ruthless cricket. If not then talent wont get us through as was evident a few days back.

It is a nice team. But is there anyway we can put Malik at 3. He performs so well there, and please don;t say that well he's an opner anyway. Im thinking of Afridi open. A quick 20 can hurt England.

personally i wouldnt mind opening with Shoaib Malik

We do have a pretty scary ODI unit....I would be dissapointed at anything less than 5-0.....oh, how that is going to come back to haunt me!!!

Malik will almost certainly open. Theres no point on having Younis at 6, instead he will be at 3.

Why do you need a genuine spinner with Afridi, Malik. Hafeez around? Kaneria is awful in odis. I'm with Azam.. 5-0 is the only condolation I will take after the tests. Winning the ODI series isn't enough, we have to do it SL style

Don't give a monkeys about jamodis except for once every 4 years. So wake me up in Feb.

Well cricket is also played in the mind - and after the thrashing from England, even the 'GREATEST ODI side' will have a difficult job in regrouping for 5 Masala matches.

Just hope they are exciting to watch.

i dunno - pyjama cricket while exciting at times - it just doesnt mean as much

i would easily have traded a ODI whitewash to winning the test series

Dont think ODIs are worth the mention. Anyways we lost 4-1 to India (losing 4 matches in a row), how do we specialize in one-day cricket?

Its all fine having a so called awseome ODI sqaud!!

If we field, bowl and bat with same indiscapline we did in tests we will get hammered in odis aswell, regardless of wether we have a stronger side on paper.

but what if we win the oval test match?

we will beat them 5.0 in the one day game they can never ply one day cricket pak is to good and plus think about the audiance to mn pakis lvoe one dayers

yeah and pakistan were gona beat eng 4-0 in tests...!

It seems some fans will never step down from arrogance or show humility!

who said they will win 4.0 everyone knew it would be hard against england in england plus without star bowlers but pak will destroy them in one dayers

if we dont beat england 5-0 in the ODI's then as a protest, i'll be leaving PP for a wee bit.
