Why PCB Did It?

Pakistani team was overloaded with corruption and match fixing. We fixed in 1996 and in 1999 and possibly 2003. It was evident and there were proofs for it. There was going to be some harsh penalties on the players and bosses.

Imran Khan had advised Mush to let them go this time, otherwise Pakistani team and Pakistan's Cricket will go into shambles.

Mush agrees and becomes PCB's Patron in Chief. Now under Mush anyone who would even think of messing around with the players and Pakistan's cricket will be dealt with the Joota of a General.

Pakistani players given another chance. World cup 2003, we had the best team in the world and did not even qualify for the Super 6's. Here comes the general's Joota. Enough of this Lutera bazi and Sufarshi cheleys who only choose thier relatives.

Bob Woolmer - welcome to Pakistan. Atleast that will end some Lutera Bazi and Safarish. All of a sudden Pakistan's fortunes change. We start winning and infact started to beat big teams. We become favourites.

Oval test Fiasco. Mush asks Sheriyar to leave. Welcome Dr. Ashraf. Right away he asks Pakistan team to buckle up!

Bob asks all players to take tests to be on the safeside. Then there is evidence of drug intake by Pakistani players. It is evident that PCB must have known that ICC was conducting random testing! PCB calls Asif and Shoib home right away.

Musharraf tells Shoib not to comment on the issue. Shoib tells a journalist - "I have been asked by the President not to comment on the issue."

Musharraf who is the boss of PCB would never ask PCB to take out Akhtar and Asif to hurt Pakistan's world cup chances when he wants Pakistan to win it? NA. He had a big role to play and role is as follows.

Mush probably asked Ashraf to give them a ban. Why? So that in future any Pakistan who was thinking about taking anything like that must know that he will be banned. We are not a Pakistan of 1999. We will not let this happen! PCB now has a system. Drugs = Ban = a big one.

This message is sent to all players in Pakistan. Now no one in Pakistan will ever think of ever taking any such things again even by accident!

Now that this message has come across and Pakistani players have seen that it is a hastle to get ban lifted. No one will take drugs and the future of Pakistani players is now secure.

Mushrraf then probably asked Ashraf + independent investigtion to make sure no drugs were taken by choice and asked them to lift the ban. He got what he wanted - to give a warning to PCB that no drugs, no lutera baazi and no safarish.

Ashraf brings in a system of paid selectors - Well Done! PCB did what it needed to do. It warned the players of possible circumstances. And if any such will happen, General + Ashraf + PCB will clean you up! I knew ban would be lifted. To understand this whole scenario it was wise to understand what Mush + Ashraf + PCB + Investigators are actually doing rather than what it seems.

Ban lifted. Mush asks the team to bring the world up home. Now all Pakistan players know thier place in the team is NOTTTTTT perminent we all have to perform and performance brings rewards and now all Pakistani players will buckle up and play thier best and now we are a challenging force in cricket once again!

Well done PCB, Ashraf and Patron in Chief(President)

This shows Patron in Chief was for the protection of the players and Mush + Ashraf made sure there was an independent investigation etc etc etc and now they are unbanned. PCB saved our players from ICC testing and punishment.

PCB has taken great steps thus far in fixing our corrupted cricket and we are thankful for that Maybe Mush was not directly involved but his decision to put Ashraf incharge of PCB is paying off! So I give them full marks for this move! Pakistan is a country where people follow the rules when a Joota is enforced and this is exactly what happened. Ashraf and patron in Chief now have a watchful eye on cricket and this is a good thing in a country like Pakistan.

Congradulations, Now we have GUL, Akhtar, Asif, Shabbir, Nazir... ahhhhhhh waaat a bowling attack.

God Bless Pakistan!

im quite sure the inquiry was independent coz the committee was made up of respected people unlike the first tribunal. A high court judge, an ex-player who is respected and known to be honest and principled, and Mark Gay, a british lawyer. come one man, Mushy had nothing to do with the verdict.

He did not indirectly of course. Mush asked Akhtar not to comment on this drug issue - he took steps to make things go Pakistan's way.

This shows Patron in Chief was for the protection of the players and Mush + Ashraf made sure there was an independent investigation etc etc etc and now they are unbanned. PCB saved our players from ICC testing and punishment.

inshAllah we are a force now for SA series and the world cup

well a board should protect its players, and if mushy wanted to protect them, then he was right to do so. but im quite certian that he didnt influene the inquiry, specialy with Mark Gay involved in it who is not a pakistani and wont take pressure form mushy

Yeah you are right. However, the point is PCB did the right thing and has secured our players from any such things in the future.

One flae, the board could have protected the playes by not releasing the tests in the first place as they were done by PCB privately and need not be published

Oval test Fiasco. Mush asks Sheriyar to leave. Welcome Dr. Ashraf. Right away he asks Pakistan team to buckle up! JI trying to mess with the minds of our players. We already lost Saqlain. Obviously some ppl think thier Islam is in ther Hulias. Ashraf asks them to be balanced in cricket in religion. In other words Mullahs stay out of crikcet!

now i am no supporter of JI or MMA, but that is a pathetic statement to make that smacks of ignorance at best and stupidity at worst. anyone who has followed saqi's career would tell you that saqi's decline was because he overbowled himself for surrey and lost the magic touch of the doosra by over-bowling it, not because he became a TJ! what utter rot.

PP's standard has gone down big time.

This story sounds like Godfather!!
Only thing you needed was a head of a horse in the bed and we can make a movie out of it.

absolutely, TS. you can't fault mr. dashing here. with all those extra sajdahs the JI had saqqi on, not to mention all the squatting required while performing wudhu, his knees never had a chance.

i never read this part, it is a pathetic statement indeed. y r u blaming religion, and one's adherence to it for one's downfall. and stop blaming kullahs and islam for such things. dont try to pull off another nasim ashraf here

You should take up writing fiction. A vivid imagination, an ability to string events in a creative and interesting way are good qualities and will help you as you begin writing your first novel or novella.

Good Luck!

Had only local people been involved i might have believed but with the introduction of Mark Gay, the credibility of this has increased many fold. he is a well reknowned lawyer and would not have got pressurised from any one.
