Australia vs England @ Perth: 3rd Test, Day 3
Starts again today at 11:30am local time.
Australia 1/119 and in a commanding position at the moment. Ponting 57 Hayden 57 Hoggard has the only wicket. Australia will be looking to bat all day and maybe have a go at England in the last hour. Panesar will be the key for England and if he and the English pace attack can get some early wickets, they are still a chance of winning this match. |

Already 21 runs in only 3 overs today.
Why did Fred Flinstone open with Pieterson. Was stupid. Why not open with Monty or Hoggard. |

I think that this session will decide whether or not England will still have a chance of retaining the Ashes.
If England take 3-5 wickets for 70-80 runs, then they are still a chance of winning. If they bowl Australia out for 300-320, England will have over 2 days to get a total of around 350. That would put England slightly on top. If Australia get another 80+ runs this session for the loss of 2-3 wickets, I dont think England can win. We will have to wait and find out though. |

Lead of 311. Hussey 73 Clarke 35 Still no luck for England with a chance when Hussey was on 49. Harmison bowled a beatiful bouncer which Hussey top edged. 3 fielders were near the ball as GoJo dived full stretched and just fell short. It looked like it was KP's ball but he decided not to go for it. That may have cost them. They really need a breakthrough. Can Hussey get a maiden Ashes ton? |
