how would the foreigner rule effect ur side?

if platini's rule comes into force - 5 maxplayers. It wont make much difference if its non EU players but how about if he goes with the extreme, max of 5 players from outside ur country in the side. Well for barca it could mean a side consisting of (taking into account certain players have 2nd passports!)

oleguer

It would completely change the team i support. Arsenal only have 1 English outfield player, that being Hoyte, who plays in the first team.

IMO, I dont think this rule will come into use.

this rule will never come in place.. you can have a rule about have 5 home grown players in the squad but not the other way round.. its in contravention of employment laws and as Rafa said ," the law is more imprortant than the rule"

We'd be ok as we have plenty of players who've played in the first team who're not foreign like Davis, Cahill, Samuel, Hughes, Bardsley to name a few. I've played 4 strikers in that team just to show how attacking i am. Bouma looses his place unfortunately.

Yeah, no difference for Barca at all. And soon enough, RonnyD will get his Spanish passport so they could probably even include Beletti instead of Oleguer if they wanted

Wouldnt have that great an effect on Newcastle either, unless the ruling is so banal that they consider Irish players as foreign, but even then injures will find a way to make sure things work out fine
