Abdul Rahman ?

Hey guys, I just wanted to discuss the status on rahman. I mean do we still take him to the WC 15 man squad or is shahid afridi enough. I personally think we should take him as he had a great start to his international career and really troubled the West Indies.

Your thoughts?

Thing is....I want to take Rehman too but not enough room. I rather take an extra pacer or batsmen just because we will most liekyl have three spinenrs in Malik, Afridi and Hafeez. WE do not need a fourth.

yeh i think Afridi is looking handy with bat and ball and yesterday bowling performance from afridi and shoaib malik gave hard time to SA players


abdul rehman indeed is a great bowler but not much expirence and that can be a bit disadvantage for him over afridi

i think we need not to take him to world cup 2007
we need to take another bowler pacer as we can't predict injuries

This is just bad planning that we have not given this guy a chance.
I think he is much better then what crap Sami and Rana are dishing at the moment.

I would at least try him in 2 games before deciding his fate.

For the WC we take the same squad who played today minus Rana and in comes Akhtar, Gul, Hafeez, Rao and Yasir.
We have to ditch Sami and Rana. I feel Azhar Mahmood is a must selection.

This guy needs to get a couple of games. He looked so good against the windies, but if they don't play him, then it is no point in taking him on the basis of a few games against the windies.

Malik, afridi and hafeez have looked good this tour. But Rehman is a specialist spinner, and a left armer. I think we should give him a game or two, he's done nothing wrong since he started playing.

Yeah but not if that pacer is Rana [not now at least] and not sami as well. That leaves us with Abdul Rehman. Does it matter how many spinners we have when all that really matters is how many balls are bowled in the right areas, and I think Abdul can do that quite well.
