I have it on good authority that the electricity supply will be fine 3 times a week, and the running water will indeed be running...as far away from your taps as possible....

Both will be going on vacation in the 3 hottest months of the summer.....

I really wonder if these projects will ever be completed. If they are going to go through these I think power or water would be the least of the problem. Long as the power network is planned which it will be I don't think the power is going to be an issue at all.

They can Install two heavy duty generators [25MW] and basically power up a mini city. In NYC many buildings have these. It is hard to imagine where billions will be spent on building these things a few million won't be spent to make sure power is available at all times.

great news, now lets hope it is completed without any problems. projects like these are important for pakistan. $68 billion is a big big amount which means this will be a very big project

its also good to see arabs investing in pakistan. Warid telecom, then the new hotel, and now this.

then it will be alot easier, pakistan has many times more resources then what UAE had in the 90s, if you can make a city in the desert from scratch and in the oceans then you can make it anywhere on this planet.

the only thing that will go against them here is that they cant run the show like they do in the gulf and from what i have heard, they have faced some difficulties in removing the villagers,

Warning: when they say 10 years, they actually mean 25.

On a more serious note, are they planning on making a water distillation plant as well? As expensive as one may be, it would solve so many problems. And also a sewage recycling plant... or do they already have one in the city?
