For all those watching this game on ARY in the US

what's up with the cheesy ads??

ROTI BOTI - are they referring to the food or themselves?
The losers waiting for the fried onion. Which family waits for dinner like that?
And what about the hero giving the engagement ring...

and the worst....

the calling card where the bride is talking on the phone while the groom waits.

this is a disgrace and embarrassing...

Those ads are the reason you are probably watching the cricket (I am assuming you have subscribed to ARY).

I think the Roti Boti is quite catchy after the 5oth time of watching it - although it shows Humera Arshad has hit on hard times that she has to do the ad and get her family in for a freebie kebab!!!

King King Kebab King was THE ORIGINAL back in Asia Cup 2004. To apperciate it even more you have to understand the history behind. Plus its even better with the extended version! (unfortuantely they only show the short version).

As I type this, BOTI ROTI IS back!

Each ad is doing their best to show others down in being cheesy that is.

I have yet to see a nice classy desi ad. Maybe that is 2 opposites and not possible.

However, I think the coverage is excellent. The camera angles, colors, replays, etc.

Take ARY's coverage out of the equation (the usual missing balls etc) - the overall production/presentation/graphics etc put the WC to shame!

Humera Arshad is hot, so I can bear with roti boti. I can't stand the stupid calling card ad though; what's the point of the bride's father mimicking Amitabh? I still don't get that ad (after having watched it about 50 times now!).

The most annoying one is that calling card one cuz that idiot is trying to impersonate Amitabh Bachan's voice.

The only decent desi ads are of Western Union and Statefarm insurance (life comes at you fast)

The important thing is; you'll remember Kebab king, roti boti etc. for the rest of your life. Thats why ARY showed the matches, and thats why Afridi hits sixes. So next time you watch a beautiful cover drive remember that its brought to you by 'hum roti boti khaaingay'

The King King Kebab King song gets in your head and doesn't leave! It is like a CD with only one song repeating again and again. Even if you want to throw it out of your thought process, you can't. The Americans might consider it for Guantanamo. It will make any body talk after an hour.

First couple of times when i watched it, i was so mad. But now I am enjoying it, I think we will miss this ad after these 3 games lol. I think Guy who made it was a genius he knew to make a good ad he ll need to spend alot of $. Plus noone will talk about it, so he came up with the cheeziest ad and everyone talking LoL. Funniest part is when that have seekh kebab in one hand and they are singing lol

for anyone else watching the ARY US advertisement, can someone confirm that Shalimar hasweekend buffets. I went there yesterday after seeing the ad for the weekend buffet, and was told that they had it on the weekdays only. I argued with one of the workers there that I saw it on ARY Digital, and that they shouldn't advertise for things which they don't have.

BTW, the Chicken Makhani at Shalimar looks disgusting...I hope your not talking about the current buffet.

Sometimes they get so annoying that after each over i pause the match and then play it after 2 mins so i can fast forward the Ads. From a bunch of obese kids waiting for fried onions to young girls eating roti botis it's all about high fat food so no wonder we have such an unfit team!

Shanawaz Restaurant is the only classy ad I have seen on ARY. The place is classy as well. Some of the best food in the region.

Roti Boti has always had these kind of ads. I remember their old one where they had the chicken boti hanging from strings bouncing on the roti. That was some sight. Also how that lady would walk down the aisle and people would just get up and snatch the food from her hands, I would never go to a restaurant where they served like that.
