Important: Masjid Al Aqsa

Just got this in an e-mail...
===============================================
A few days back I visited a friend who had just returned from Hajj. During our conversation he mentioned Masjid-al-Aqsa and how it would've been great if he could've also visited Jerusalem as well. Out of interest I asked him to describe the Masjid-al-Aqsa. The first thing he mentioned was the gold dome by when it became obvious that he was not describing Masjid-al-Aqsa, but Masjid Qubbat-as-Sakhra, more commonly known as the Dome of the Rock. After a heated debate and with the assistance of the internet I was able to show him how he had been mistaken.

After visiting my Hajji friend I called a few other close friends to see if they had fallen to the same confusion. To my surprise many had, including some of the more religious ones. I'm not sure how many on this forum are aware of this but I thought it necessary to point this out.

I've posted pictures of both the mosques so you can see for yourselves which is which.

1) Masjid-al-Aqsa

2) Masjid Qubbat-as-Sakhra

yeah this confusion has been around for a while, mainly because of subversive propoganda via internet and other media by the Jewish state where they attach images of dome of the rock where the articles/news is about Al-Aqsa. Some muslim brothers have tried to clear it up. Both places are holy as far as muslims are concerend.

yea, i heard about this ages ago...the conspiracy behind it is that the jews are trying to make everyone believe that the dome of the rock is masjid al-aqsa, and then they will secretly demolish the real one, and when anyone objects, they will show live pictures of the dome of the rock and say "look, we haven't touched it."

sad really...
