Well Hameed has average 13 over his last 6 matches including 2 against Zim, yet you're not starting a bashing thread on him.

It's easy to quote stats, but remember that in those 5 matches he has batted at 1,3,6,7,8! In in 3 of the cases he was in slog mode (which admittedly is not his game) including 1 where he was out on the last ball of the match.

Amjid, Younsi is a decent batsman. Not world class but solid. He needs to be left in 1 position. He is a tremendous fielder. He shouldn't be keeper I agree. WHat sets him apart is his fitness and dedication. In a team sorely lacking leadership, YK is the only option.

I guess you'd be ok with a bunch of poor leaders on your team. If so then stop complaining about Inzi!

Him keeping was a big mistake. Well maybe not that big cause we won the game, and hopefully this will prove to Inzi and Woolmer that YK CANT keep.

Younis Khan should bat in the top5 and be given a run. Not as a keeper, as a pure batsman. He is one of these guys like Shoaib Malik who replays you if you place a lot of faith in him. He has shown in tests he is a top quality player. Just stick with him and stop messing him about.

Agree Amit. The guy needs a decent chance at a settled batting position, preferably at 5 or 6. He's not a slogger but good at keeping the strike rotating. We need somebody like that. He's a player who gets a consistent 30/40 at the moment. With experience that will improve.

The captain should command a place in the team even if he wasnt the captain. India carry Ganguly and it shows at times. He aint even a great skipper!

The trouble with Pakistan is they dont understand the concept of a team. Only Imran does. Teams win games, win world cups, win test series! Younis has always been messed about the order and other less talented players have been shown more faith. It isnt enough just to pick him, u have to talk to himm show confidence in him.

Says a lot that Shoaib Malik has played above himself or stretched his ability to the limit and Younis Khan has nowhere near fulfilled his potential in odi cricket yet both have a very similar average!

YK should be allowed to settle at 4/5 and at 3 in tests and show us the world class batsman he really is! Pakistan need to try all the players in the next year or so because 1 year from the WC, you should know your 15 to take. Or near enough.

It is hard to see why Elahi has been in the cold but I feel that Younis has proven himself in tests, he has shown he can play, he should be able to do it in odis. As a pure batsman and batting at 5 no lower. Not opening.
