Shane Warne may not rise from these Ashes
Shane Warne is unsure about his playing career. He's said that he wants to spend more time with his family. I do not read too much into these statements as Shane normally speaks instinctively, but there is no question he must be exhausted. For more then a decade now he's carried the Australian attack on his shoulders, bowling endless spells in tests and in the process becoming the greatest spinner ever, hands down.
I do, however, think that this was not the right time to make that statement. Australia just lost the Ashes for the 1st time in 18 long years and now they have another thing to worry about. I think Shane will stick around in the end and will also take part in the 2007 World Cup. Its just my gut feeling. |

He is gonna hang on till the next Ashes. He is not the sort of character to end on this note. His farewell will be fitting. There are some personalities you can just tell do not fade out but go out with a bang. I think English celebrations are going to be short lived and the urn stays in England only till the next Ashes.

Im sure Warna wont call it quits until he's had a chance to regain the Ashes..... this loss must have hurt him bad....especially since he took 40 wickets in the series and yet still ended up on the losing side!
