Qasim is a poor selector who is clearly biased but so are the other clowns that come from Punjab.

We really need some professional selectors who really know what they are doing in terms of selecting the right players not just in terms of stats but their technical and mental ability. They need to watch the damn players in domestic cricket.

lol seriously selection of Sami and Faisal Iqbal came out of nowhere. it's not that they have done something extraordinary at domestic level, there must be other reasons. Feels so sorry for deserving domestic players like Usman Slahuddin who averaged 81.25 with bat and Tabash Khan who took 60 wickets with an average of 15.54 in last Quaid E Azam trophy..When will we have selection on merit in Pakistan?

Nice links! Usman Salahuddin has been scoring consistently for the last couple of years. I think he would make the number sixth position in the test batting line his own once Misbah retires. Don't expect Iqbal Qasim to select him though. Worst selector ever!

How good a bowler is Tabish Khan? Does he bowl at a respectable pace? Swing seam movement?

that does not matter bro.he can be from any part of Pakistan,, the thing that really matters to me is the performance and that these guys have shown,, so should have selected instead of Faisal and Sami..If Sami or Faisal fail to perform in domestic cricket how could you expect them to perform in Int. cricket?

He is definitely biased in selection process no doubt about it but I don't think he favors Karachi players i think he only favor players with good connections. Sami, Khalid latif and bhanja are selected ahead of fawad alam, usman saluddin, talha and tabish khan is a tragedy.

He is our worst selector ever.Even was better than him.

Lol - A Kamran Akmal fan pushing for his return talking abt merit. Hypocrasy at its best . Can you show his recent T20 domestic stats to justify his selection for T20 team. And how abt just reviewing this thread and tells us why you favoring to recyle this drop machine. His return to the team in WC2011 resulted in Shoaib Akther retiring.

Chief Selector Iqbal Qasim is a cancer. Remember we were whitewashed in all formats vs Australia in 09/10 under his tenure.

Now he is back, making illogical selections, not selecting the right players for the right formats. Our limited overs team is a mess.

We need to give Qasim his P45 and goodbye, otherwise we'll carry on seeing his personal favourites get selected.
