Olympics 2012 - Pakistan hockey team (prospects, news)

Its been a long time since I've followed hockey other than keeping half an eye on Pakistan's results at major tournaments.

Its no secret that we've been a second tier team for around 20 years now, with our last medal the bronze in 1992. But how is the team doing? Any improvement, any realistic hopes of gold? Would be interested to hear the views of hockey followers.

Looking at the groups, it seems we're in the tougher group with only the top 2 going through to the semis (something for cricket to learn from for the world cups)

Is anyone planning to watch any of the matches (assuming tickets are still available). A shame the matches are in Ramzan otherwise I'd be tempted.
