He is back! Christopher Henry Gayle!

18 months away from test squad.

What he does after coming back?

Score a century.

It's like nothing has changed since he left.

Very pleasing to see Chris playing in Test again. I was skeptical about his fitness, but apparently he doesn't seem like getting tired much.

He is taking it as an ODI or maybe a T20. Doesn't miss a bad ball even one bit.

Luck is with him too. Got dropped around when he was on 36. And now even edges are going to 4's.

Last time WI had 200+ runs opening partnership was in 1999 that against NZ as well. And this is highest partnership by these two since last test of Gayle in 2010.

WI board is stupid and arrogent, they should never have dropped him and WI could have been a lot better side had he been playing all this time.

It's great to see Chris back and in good hitting form.

WI used to collapse in a heap a lot even when Gayle, Sarwan, Lara and Chanders were all in the team. We are true experts for over ten years now.

Great to see the windies looking like a decent team again. They were on the rise anyway, and gayle is the icing on the cake!

WICB should be sacked for the gross injustice not only to Gayle but to the game at large. Any team in the world would love to have such a fearsome striker of the ball.

Conveniently skipped the tough English test tour.

Century after a horde of drops on a flattish track at home against the Kiwis.

WICB may be arrogant or whatever but what Gayle did was absolute B.S as well. Skipping the tours for the sake of earning a few bucks in T20s, it's not a huge problem but he talked too much as if he's a saint.

Common he may pick and chose the series he wants but what about the inexperienced guy who replace him every alternative series? It'll be absolutely injustice to that player. Will you guys tolerate Ajmal skipping test tour and playing T20s all around the world?
