It'd be funny if at all Irish strike a goal here and level it Spain should have been ahead by 2,3 goals.

Yep, ridiculously one sided

According to BBC the stats are as following;

Possession: Spain 78% - 22% Ireland
Shots: Spain 27 - 5 Ireland
Shots on target: Spain 22 - 4 Ireland

The rivalry between you and GA will never end, nice trolling though.

Glad Torres scored a brace for Spain today, needed that kind of performance to boost his confidence, hopefully he'll start the next game. Thought Arbeloa had a good game too - looked lively out there, he read the game well defensively and tactically looked tidy too.

Feel for the Irish but let's not forget, one heck' of a achievement of qualifying for the Euros, atleast they made it. Their fans are brilliant too.

No need for English people to feel sorry for the Irish. The Irish wouldn't extend you the same favour. Enjoy their failures, because they don't like you. This is a serious point.

I have a bloodline from both countries so I know how the relationship works. I want to see the Ireland team do well just as I want to see the England team do well, but Ireland have been simply atrocious in this tournament and there should be an internal inquiry into why.

Notice how the manager and Roy Keane have been so hypercritical - this level of awfulness was not expected.

Look at the Irish team's performance in the qualifiers for the last two tournaments. They're a better team than they have shown here. I know people enjoyed the Torres and Fabregas goals yesterday, but the Irish defending for them was utterly shocking.

Roy Keane is always critical

Although one player would not have made a huge difference I do think they missed James McCarthy and also it would have helped if Stephen Ireland was not a nutjob as a midfield pairing of McCarthy and Ireland is not so bad
