Maj Shoaib Shaheed - Hero, saved two men

Maj Shoaib Shaheed from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, hero of Pakistan

a relation of a friend of a friend

Maj Shoaib who survived the Mi 17 crash with 90% burns left for this eternal abode yesterday . After the crash he pulled out 2 men who have both survived and walked to the ambulance before collapsing unconscious. Unable to open his eyes, he told his wife to take care of his mother and 2 daughters before he was evacuated to Kharian Army burn hospital. He asked about Amir, his co pilot and coursemate who didnt survive the crash. Multiple heart attacks, swellings and infections finaly took him from us. His heroic act of valor in saving his crew while he himself burned will be not be forgotten. ALlah bless him the highest place in jannat. Ameen.
Salute.........

this is how i would like to go out, selfless and brave

Learned it yesterday, there's no better way to die than by saving lives... where from KPK was he from ?
Was just reading recently how Pashtuns are taking over the Pak Army, especially in becoming high ranking officers.

A true hero. May Allah bless him with Jannah.

We are loosing our brave and great men on this war and then some in unfortunate accidents. I haven't seen any major particularly English newspaper (Dawn, ET, The News, etc.) of Pakistan publish his heroic story.

Can't believe I am saying this but I agree!

Pakistani media usually pays more attention to trash like Bollywood or pointless staged TV shows rather than highlighting sacrifices made by brave people like the Major.

Ditto....we say we have 'Azaad Adlia' but do we really? Certain News channels boycott certain political parties, whilst showing every single minute of a drunk mans 'speech' that, even if it last for literally 12 non-stop hours, they show all of
Youll see 'breaking news' every 30 minutes about news which isnt worthy of 'breaking news' (a fire cracker has gone off on some street...an airplane has been delayed to to some reason)

Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajioon

another brave jawaan gives his life for his people. I wonder what would have happened if he was brit or an american, they would be naming streets after them. But our lot couldnt care less, one more dead fauji is a good thing for some people!!

just look and see how many young men are giving up their today so the rest of us can enjoy a tomorrow!! and then they ask us to "DO MORE"!!

The country should setup a memorial and print the names of the 44000 on the plinth!! including our Jawaans!! no doubt Asma jahangir and her ilk would probably complain!
