The form of salat you see now is derived from the sunna of the Holy prophet s.a.w
Sunna is much more reliable than because sunna has been followed since the time of the prophet and has been copied by the following generation after genaration. Hadith however was compiled properly a lot after the sad demise of the Prophet.

Its contained in hadith....there are numerous verses in the Quran that tell us to follow the Prophets actions and not rely solely on the Quran...the Quran contains a lot of what while hadith give us a lot of the how...
I still wonder how hadith rejectors go about doing their Salat among numerous other things...
