National anthems are like farts - you only tend to like your own. God save the queen is a particular stinker that many English can't even seem to stomach.

Apart from the Scottish and Pakistan ones, I quite like the French one. Pretty savage.

Give us a new national anthem for Britain – and England ...... About a quarter of Britons are in the same predicament. We won't sing martial and tribal words that eulogise a woman who would turn in her crown, pay her back taxes and spend the rest of her days in a terraced house in Hastings in any sensible polity.
