Sami and Gul should not play on seaming tracks/southafrica series

I really think that these 2 bowlers bowl a very poor line and thats why they are averaging 34 and 51 respectively. We talk about that we have good bowlers but if gul and sami are your first choice bowlers then God help our fast bowling future. We need bowlers who can constantly pitch it up like shaun pocck, mcgrath, asif.

Have to agree with you.

Gul has a habit of producing some magical spells once in a blue and people supporting him are allways waiting for those spells.

He doesn't use his brain much while bowling. He has played so much cricket now that he should have been a very smart bowler but unfortunately he is not learning.

Sami had a good domestic season but seems to be back to his normal "best".

We should try Rahat Ali with Junaid Khan in SA. Gul can still be the third seamer as we don't have many others. Hopefully Zia ul Haq will take the big step up to the seniors soon.

Gul is just an average bowler in test cricket.
In one dayers he is one of the best in asia...
If you compare him with asif or amir...u r not doing justice...becoz he is a different type of bowler...

No one better than Gul. I'd still have Gul in my side. I would bring in some guys around the team though. Drop Cheema for tests. I'd bring in Talha, Sadaf, Rahat and maybe Tanvir Ahmed who I was a fan of. Gul is a must though. He was amazing during 2011 and he did very well during the 2012 England series. You can't judge Umar based on this series. He's our best pacer. Stick with him.
