2.5 Hours Fielding Practice

It is revealed on Geo Super that the Pakistani players have been practicing fielding for 2.5 hours everyday. Reportedly it has made players exhausted and many have swollen hands now.

Aamer Sohail believes that that is just too much. They have to practice smart. Work on tactics of fieldings, not just 2.5 hours of fielding drills with no quality. They are just exhausting players physically and mentally like this. And now players are scared of the ball.

Again i repeat our players are not mentally tough enough for international cricket. They are scared of the ball while batting and fielding, they just cannot relax in the middle, there are two types of individuals, one who inspite of facing so many setbacks, pressures eventually lifts himself up and rises to the occasion and two, those who keep thinking about their past mistakes, poor performances, put themselves under pressure every single day and hence mess up in their daily activities.

Our players on a vast majority belong to the second category. If we are to ever improve as a cricket team, we need to select players from the first category and ruthlessly get rid of players in the second category.

I want fearless, gutsy players in my team. Not phattus.

Who are running these drills?
Must not be professinal coaches.
First we do not have professional players and now coaches

If they stop dropping catches, they won't have to practice 2.5 hours a day and will therefore not be exhausted

It has got nothing to do with fielding practice but mire to do with their mental approach. They seems to loose concentration at times.

Playing out of fear of making a mistake and being dropped for it. That is what happens when every single match a player is ruthlessly disgarded due to his 'mistakes'. Its simple human nature.

Thank you Ijaz Butt for destroying the past and future generation of Pakistani 'stars'.

We are the only one in the world who gets unfit while practicing

Have you seen any practice session ? Everyone one of them do it differently, just watch the pics someone posted yesterday.

Has anyone of the coach we have any credentials? All of the teams have professional coaches with proper coacing credentials. Being at best what you do is one thing but to teach others is a completly different skill.
