What would you do if you were Aamir?

i don't know how Aamir picks himself up and still bowls with a full heart? I know if i was part of this team and was bowling like Aamir I would have hard time picking myself after continuously watching such pathetic batting...

Wasim didn't have to go through this...do you think this will effect Aamir? do you think this will derail his improvement process? are we going to lose the greatest bowling prospect of this decade because of our crap attitude to batting

i like that idea...no point playing for a bunch of losers who can careless of what happens to the game..more concerned with their central contracts

Keep running in and doing your job.

He is playing for the country. He can keep bowling in the hope that our batsmen will one day support him and actually score some valuable runs.

If we lose Amir, it will be due to injuries not lack of heart [he's not that kind of guy].

Its just a matter of time till he has enough, he's work rate is awesome, he plays his heart out whether its bowling, batting or fielding, he single handedly handed the match in Pakistan's favour only to see if slip away bcoz of pathetic bowling from others and fielding, hardly gets any rest and he's in the middle, and now he's probably getting ready to be padded up again. He's young and there is only so much he can take, he needs a few games off. I cheered when he got out because he needs a rest!

i am sure...i just feel sad for the guy...i know a little bit about playing with blokes who are just content wearing whites and getting to play 'cricket' no matter how awful they are and how much they contribute in losing matches

we need to be careful, don't over bowl him.

It would be sad to lose such a talent due to overuse.

Fast bowlers are very fragile.

Check his family genealogy.... maybe he had an Aussie, English or South African great grandparent and he can play for them. Having people actually holding catches might be too big a shock for his system though :aamir

Of course he won't play for the English national side. They get most of their players from SA. Ha. There I said it.

But seriously, I think if he wants to follow the same path as Wasim, he needs to decide on a county team soon (I'm pretty sure he's getting some offers).

That way he can live in England, learn English, earn money, etc. in between tours and stuff.

yea need to join county ASAP...winning might not be a bad thing for this lad...when Wasim started playing we actually were winning games <<--- i know that might be a surprise to some these days but Pakistan used to win most of the time back in the day...

no i am talking about common people. people on pakpassion. peoplw who brain drained pakistan. If i left pakistan then i dont have right to say amir is a traitor if he leaves pak team. TBH i am following pak cricket since childhood and i dont think anything good is gonna happen even in future. So why should amir waste his talent and life in a team which is doing its best to put his career down.

When Umar Akmal dropped the catch of strauss or cook yesterday Amir looked very frustated - and the way he reacted was a suprise because I've never seen him like that before which shows how loyal and respectfull he has been before, but now he is getting frustated and I don't blame him at all.

Amir could have easily taken more wickets then he has now ONLY if the catches were taken from the fielders.

He is young and naive. Soon he'll be hardened by all the lousy performances and the backbiting/backstabbing that goes on in our cricket, take early retirement, form his own political party, and win a seat from Gujar Khan.

Well, on a serious note, he should keep giving his hundred percent and cross some personal milestones on the way. If the rest of the team supports him, great. If not, then nothing is stopping him from writing his own legacy. The boy has all the talent in the world to do just that. He should remain focused on it and play some good cricket for himself and his fans.

And he should play some quality county cricket as soon as he gets a little break from touring all over with Pakistan team.

All our great cricketers - Wasim, Waqar, Miandad, etc were very talented to begin with. But they became masters in their trade after they got some county cricket experience under their belts.

I hate what he did, but for some reason...Amir is the only one of the cricketers involved who I feel bad and sorry for.

He had the world at his feet; got involved with the wrong crowd (Majeed brothers) and ends up throwing away his career. Many 18 year olds end up with the wrong crowd...it's what some 18 year olds just do, they are unlucky.

Nevertheless, if he is guilty, he must be banned for life. A very strong message has to be sent out to all youngsters in the country.
